you have literally created my dream for the past three years come true. listening to sleep on the floor’s intro not knowing patience was an individual song then realizing it was, was absolute happiness but this.. this is euphoria. im so happy rn.
I've been listening to this since about Nov 2020... My Mom was dying of cancer and I was the one who slept in the hospital then the hospice over the course of about a month... First I listened to the original then this version... Played it constantly each time I'd walk around the parking lot, wondering WTF I was going to do, knowing losing my mom would be something catastrophic in my life... Now when I listen to it, it's no longer a reminder of those nights spent wandering the hospice parking lot but the soundtrack to something I can't yet define... The other shoe has already dropped, now idk what I'm waiting for, just that I'm still waiting patiently for life to go on... If that ever happens
I usually don't listen to slowed down versions of songs because I get this feel that they don't have the same impact as the one with the original pitch and rhythm, along with the feel of the singer or musician, they put it at a certain pitch because of the aura right? But this just sounds sublime, one of the rare slowed down versions I actually like.
I have been in a long distance relationship for the past two years with a boy that I fell in love with when we were both nine. this song (especially this version) reminds me of when we said our goodbyes at the at the airport this past august. the feeling of pure sadness as I watched his car pull away will always be one of the hardest moments in our relationship. but then I remember the title of the song. "Patience" this song is a big reminder that even though leaving him is the hardest things I have to do every time I see him, I can still dwell on the amazing memories that we have made and the memories that we are going to make in the future.
You can simply right click on the video and select loop if you're using a PC, on a phone you can create a playlist with only this song to listen on repeat

how old were you when your mum was in the hospic?
you wrote in 2020. I very much hope that your waiting is over and life has moved on for you.
