Looking at this made me imagine how the original native american settlers must have felt when they entered this breath taking entirely uninhabited grand landscape with its giant animals. The short nose bear, ground sloth and even sabre tooth cats and mammoths. Must have been a garden of Eden. Pity they immediately set about annihilating all the large animals. You don't know what you've got till its gone. Wouldn't it be great if we could see those megabeasts in this mega environment again. Thanks so much for sharing.
Wonderful drone and photography work of my favorite places in Colorado. I spent many summers in my youth exploring and camping on the southwest slopes of Colorado and this video brings back so many memories. Thank you!

You did this from main roads and Colorado opens up in the back country. Hey I wish you had even had more close up time with your four legged companion. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for reply. Yes, it was mostly near main roads and county roads. Many places were restricted and not allowed to fly. I have other videos of me and my dog, but mostly via a small vlogging camera. I did not want to use it here since this video was mostly for aerial footage and wanted to make a separate video for that photography (similar to the Banff video). But unfortunately I lost half the video due to me being a dumb and didn't transfer the video to my computer before formatting the card. :-(
Crawfishies next time you flub up and format your card by accident don't fret. When you format you basically delete the table of contents but the data is still there until you store data on top of it again and again. You may not be able to recover everything but often you don't record over everything so you can still recover the data.

I did not have a route. I went on a month long vacation covering colorado, utah, and arizona, with durango being the home base. I posted on the video the names of the locations. Best way to find the area is to look at googlemaps and type in where the locations are, most are on googlemaps. Thanks for watching

I've mostly concentrated on southwest colorado, and central colorado. near central CO, Kebler Pass/Ohio Pass near Crested Butte is probably the most dense. near SW CO, San Juan forest/million dollar hwy/dallas divide/Telluride is popular but far from Denver (main city of colorado). The opening picture is Maroon Bells, but last year they had too much snow and avalanches, the lake is half full, and a lot of fallen trees. you can easily google search colorado fall colors spots. there are tons of articles around.

Beautiful. This video got lot less views than it deserves in my opinion. I have not used drone in my videos for over a year because its too complicated to be absolutely sure if the drones are ok in the area or not.
It is 3840 x 2160 . RUclips will initially play what they think is optimal according to your internet connection. You may need to change the playback speed. Thanks
