It costs very little in weight to give that extra room. Love the fully opening vents too. Keen to see how the new, cheaper dynema-type material filters down through the sector - the cost has put me off until now but would be keen to try a trekking pole option.
Yeah you're right! Definitely takes up more space than other UL tents. It's possible to pack them smaller by probably 20-30% if you roll the inner/outer up tight.
