Their songs and videos are always incredible, but the diversity in this video and the fact it treats all stories and histories as equal is the most inspiring thing. So beautiful.
I don't why diversity makes it better. Diversity isn't inherently good. This idea comes from the perspective that oh this group of people is very good and virtuous, but it would be just a little better if it weren't so ethnically homogeneous. I understand what you mean because I used to think it, but it's really a racist thought when you think about it.

They are! I'm from Sweden and I love them! The music companies doesn't promote this kind of music though. When it gets harder to make money, because we don't buy music anymore, the music companies take the safe bet and often go for the fast food kind of music!
thank you so much for writing this song. i was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis as well, early this year in february, three months after my fifteenth birthday. i have to take shots to help keep flare-ups away three days a week. at first this made me feel kinda upset and i stopped drawing and writing (two of my main loves in this world) for a while. but then i realized that this disease that i have is just a thing, just something that i have to live with, but not something that will control my life. not only have i started drawing and writing again, but i've also broken out of my shell. i used to be insanely shy, quiet and secluded, but now i talk more and feel so much more confident and strong. this diagnosis hasn't made me weaker; it's made me stronger. and i #wontstoprunning. jaycee
I love how it includes people who were affected by 9/11 and other traumatic events in different ways. This video, as odd as it may sound, is a lovely representation of how we should view and interact with others. Each of their stories was of equal importance regardless of gender, ethnicity, origin, or struggle, even if these things were key parts of their story, they didn't set one above the other. The scope he covers as well with the false conviction, various disabilities, gender and sexual identity, ethnicity, disease survivors, and traumatic event survivors is amazing, they focus so well on such a wide variety of issues that are all prominent and some that are often overlooked.
I love the fact that words 'I'd rather be the one that starts the fire' are being sang by a firefighter and the older(but still young at heart and soul!) actress sings 'i am way too young and i wont stop running' . There is something charming(?) about this, I dont know I just really love this song and i feel very emotional
Just beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. There are still many a good thing in this flawed world. Thank you for this, A Great Big World. You've made something more meaningful than it already is. This song stirs something strong in me. I am forever a fan. Much respect to these people.
Derp Yeah I heard that one once on the radio, it's pretty decent, still not quite what music once was but almost all the rest of mainstream bullshit pop nowadays is a FAR CRY from that song
Thank you A Great Big World for always touching our hearts through your wonderful music. There are many people out there who maybe thought of killing their own life because of depression or anxiety but because of your songs, they just cut the rope or throw the razor away and move forward again. Please continue composing lyrics that will heal broken souls. You're a great big help. I love you guys.
This was absolutely beautiful and I could not be more inspired. All of these people are so strong and worked so hard to get where they are. They're true heroes and deserve so much good
Thanks for this song, it’s about chronic illness, but it’s so uplifting! ❤️ I have Ehlers Danlos, and so “don’t stop running” is really a message I need on the daily. The pain is so bad it’s hard to get out of bed some days. Having EDS is like living in a body held together with nothing but lax rubber bands. But, I won’t ever stop moving forward!
Just saw these guys Sunday in Raleigh, North Carolina. We flew from Nova Scotia Canada and they were well worth the trip! Awesome Talent, Awesome Message.
I cry every time I watch this and all of your videos to be honest!! You are so inspiring and I love listening to your music and your stories!! Thank you so much I'm sending all of my love❤️❤️❤️
It's been 7 years and this song (paired with the MV) still never fails to make me tear up. It's honestly one of the best 'songs that feel like a hug on a bad day' songs that there is.
OMG speechless...crying...heart so fullMy grandmother passed away on June 16th, 2016 fighting her 3rd bout of breast cancer. I was listening to this song when I got the message she had passed. 2 hours later I got a call from my sister telling me my nephew was just found out he has Stage 3 cancer. This song in a true, whole hearted inspiration!!! Don't ever stop running!!!!
Wow so that's why the song was made I knew it had a deep meaning but I never knew that was why it was made. wow this make the song so much more inspiring.
I have Autism I have an eating disorder I suffer from anorexia I suffer from depression I suffer from anxiety I have brain lesions in my front right cortex- specialist thought I had MS this was later ruled out now it is thought I was born with it. These illnesses/ disabilities don’t define who I am, but make me the person I am. I am stronger because I have been through stuff most 17 year olds don’t experience at all in their life.
This song is my strength on my worst days, thank you so much for making it. Disease turns our lives upside down, it shakes our foundations and changes our perspective, I am grateful for the lessons I learnt but also for the hope I found in the midst of pain. Whenever it seems too much to keep on living my best life, I turn to this song and remember the joy it is to do so and to work hard on mitigating my disease. For everyone going through a scary diagnosis, please know you are not alone and that you will find strength within and all around you. Always believe in the best outcome for you. I wish you the best in life
This is the type of song that can inspire the world, but unfortunately not the type of song that makes one rich or famous, because it reminds us that this is not a perfect world. God bless those who have little or suffering, it is always those with the least that always give more.
There are no words to fully express how absolutely beautiful and inspiring this work of art is. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts. It truly inspires and provides hope.
this made me cry...i was diagnosed with multipe sclerosis 3 years ago...I definitely understand the meaning of this song... I worry about everything and fear for the future... but it what stop me from following my dreams of becoming a actor one day...i push forward because the only thing that can stop me is myself and I won't let that happen!
Who’s listening to this in 2024! Such a beautiful song!!!!
Their songs and videos are always incredible, but the diversity in this video and the fact it treats all stories and histories as equal is the most inspiring thing. So beautiful.

When the trans guy took off his shirt, I could literally feel the liberation as a fellow trans man

Hey!
A decent pop song written in 2016!
Never thought I'd see the day!
Good job A Great Big World. Pop music should at least be like this nowadays!
There's another song by Lukas Graham in 2015 it's not the best but it's decent

7 Years
Derp Yeah I heard that one once on the radio, it's pretty decent, still not quite what music once was but almost all the rest of mainstream bullshit pop nowadays is a FAR CRY from that song
