Bit late but heres my trick for it assuming you’re talking about muse dash: play whatever layer has the first hold note with the bottom and top lane keys. This works for all notes except for 3 near the end of the pattern before it repeats, for that one, just remember to hold with one, and hit the 3 on the other.
