I can't 'Fill Path' to colour in the shapes made with the pen tool - there's no option when I right click having made the shape. Using Photoshop v23.5.4. Can anyone help?? Driving me crazy!!

Hey! No I only use the default brushes. But the version of photoshop in the video is cs6.

Yes they're a bit different in cc2019. If you need the brushes i use you can download them. Just look out for ps6 brushes

At that time its just fill path. Select a shape, right click and fill path.
Can you show us how to cartoon a car?
This tutorial is a nice one but I can say it is not for beginners for example the beginning where the photo was cut with invert isn't working so I used the masking tool. The second was the pen selection tool when he closed the selection he opened a new one without telling the viewers this can only be possible when you select combine shapes in part operations. Thirdly while I tried to fill the path I could only see fill sub path, so I ended up using the shape tool for the beards then I used subtract from shape for the mouth shape. This is just the beginning of just two minutes. Absolutely a beginner will face hell on this tutorial
I understand. But everything you have mentioned above is due to the different versions of Photoshop. If you use cs6 with the default settings it will work just fine.
how were you able to fill the beard ,every time I got to the middle section around the lips it only filled that part instead of outside the lips

How can I make a screen pop up when I double click the right side of the mouse to fill in the path? I have a mac and cant get that menu to pop up

hello good video !, but what I don't understand is, how to make the pen tool select as a brush ah and it tells me which version of Photoshop you use!
Hi, (1) for the pen tool, after you draw the path->right click->stroke, you will see the option for brush. (2) I use cs6

The brush isn't that important. You can find the same/similar brushes on the new versions of photoshop too.

When you stroke, make sure you have selected 'brush' on the pop-up that appears and not pencil.
How come when I'm trying to do another shape, it dont stay in the "lines" layer?

Select the layer, click Ctrl+T, then hold shift + Alt, and drag one of the corners to properly resize it.

You can achieve the same result. But this video might not be useful for you.
My first looking Cartoon Human was easylier than this, i only take the color of head and painted it all covering and then Shirt, etc. Its similiar to this, but U have better vectorized graphics.
Sometimes I create simple cartoons like that... They look great printed on shirts and phone cases.
