Great job 👍 I don’t use green manure but I do top all my beds with mushroom manure each winter. The only thing with green manure is to make sure you hope it in before it goes to seed 😂 or you never get rid. Some people smash the stems with a hammer and still compost them but like you I don’t bother I just put on the huge veg compost bed that can sit for years. It has turned quite cold here but rains are on the way for days 😢. Have a marvellous weekend and keep up the awesome work, Ali 🥶🌞🇨🇦

I would like to try the spent mushroom compost at some point but it’s quite expensive from what I’ve seen. We are also having a cold weekend 🥶. I hope yours is not too rainy!

@@Allotment_life it’s super cheap here and the only reason we buy it, there are lots of mushroom 🍄 farms near us 👍

If the instructions say 'broadcast the seeds' that's what they mean. Not in lines. Also, if you want to make the most of your green manure, you should chop it up when it's grown then dig the plants into your soul, including roots. I don't know how that's going to go down with the no dig theory

I`ve never tried Blue Danube potatoes before, maybe next year i might try. Something different! How did your fennel harvest turn out? What did you do with them?

Blue Danube are excellent for roast potatoes! We’re definetly doing them again next year 🥔. The fennel is this weekends cooking experiment 😀

Ps everyone seems to do what you did and just scatter, rows would seem a waste as your not harvesting them

I was a little shocked when I re read the packet and saw the rows suggestion!!😂
