Congrats on the pick-up, Chris. He looks great. It would be great to get a Duchess Satine to go with it. She had some weird headdresses, though, which I think would be difficult to recreate.

its sick, they took advantage of the stuff they already had and im fine with that, just glad i picked one up retail, because the aftermarket is already insane, gonna pose it with maul , hope they drop AOTC kenobi

I think the jetpack in the animated version doesn't have the stripes but HT needed to do something to make it more interesting looking that just a metallic paint job. The blaster pistols are Westar-35.

Have you thought about painting the belt? You could probably remove it and go over it with some leather paint and a brush fairly easily I think. I'm just obsessed with accuracy.
That's a great idea! Personally I do prefer to keep Hot Toys figures exactly how Hot Toys intended them to be, I'm not much of a customiser (especially worried incase I mess up 😅) but yeah a repaint could work or if you wanted to get even more accurate maybe a completely custom belt. Yeah this was the figure in Mr Mom's video, "Obi-Wan Dog Sh*t" I believe it was called - I know he loves it really!! 😅🤣 Yeah I think I had the lights on a bit too bright so the eyes did look very shiny. They don't look shiny now I'm looking at them on the shelf! Thanks for watching Steve! 👊🏻
I might have picked up one of these new Kenobis if I could have swapped the head with my RotS Kenobi. I do like the intense look on the old headsculpt even though the likeness isn’t as good. Hopefully we get AotC Kenobi and Phantom Menace as well.
I have the RotS Kenobi in a section away from the new ones and if you just look at Rots Kenobi it still holds up tbh. And I agree 💯 the intense look ia great! Yeah still got everything crossed for more prequel Kenobis 😃🤞🏻
I can totally see why anyone would want two of these. It looks brilliant with either headsculpt. 💯👌Love the Jango style belt too! Much prefer it!
Talking of headsculpts, your comparison shot really highlights just how good the Alec Guinness one still is as it stands up incredibly well even with these much newer ones. (That was another grail I bagged for the collection last week!) Great vid as ever mate 👍

Congratulations on a great pick up, colour scheme really pops, like the helmet but headsculpt showing is the way to go surely?. Amazing as you say getting two of the same character in a week as good as he is I think I prefer your earlier one from the other day, love that look with the cape, another great collecting week as your collection continues to go from strength to strength. Yeah you're right the headsculpt is the way to go 🙌🏻 Currently got him posed with the helmet under his arm 👍🏻I'm also tending to agree with you that I prefer the clone armour version with the cape. I still prefer the mouth of the old obi wan but there's way more to like with the clone wars one.

Great video dude! what's really cool is if you watch it back, you can see Darth Maul's eyes reflected from your hoodie in the name plate! haha. I think what adds insult to injury with the whole kit-bash comment is that this design doesn't lend itself well to live action, I looked up some pictures from clone wars and it looks good as a cartoon but in real life the design looks very empty, I think Hot Toys need to tun the greed dial down a bit and offer figures with limited accessories and re-used parts for a lower price. To be honest the thing that seemed a bit of a slap in the face was no left hand to hold the light sabre. Really glad you like it though! I know you love clone wars figures and Obi Wan.
Got a request for you: I don't do social media and I know a lot of people have fallen off that bandwagon these days too, You mentioned the controversy with the art work, You often say things in your videos about how the community is mad about something or some controversy and it's something I haven't heard of and you don't go into detail. Now you've started doing videos about pre-orders and upcoming releases, can you morph that into a news show? then people like me can keep up to date on things like that art work controversy, which I would love to see a proper video on. I think it would be popular.

Good point my friend, yes I did mention the art work and then didn't elaborate! Not sure why I just assumed viewers would know what I was on about!! 🤣 But yeah long story short a chap called d.woon-customs on instagram did a custom Kenobi in Mandalorian Armour back in 2021 and Hot Toys just used his photography on this box art without any acknowledgment. Thanks for your suggestion of a news type style of video, much appreciated!
@@TK421Collectibles Yeah it was like a cool unintentional Easter egg. Yeah I thought the missing hand was just really careless and disrespectful. Wow! That's mental, if that was a North American company that guy could sue the hell out of them. Unfortunately with companies in China they can get away with anything! It's really bad, they do stuff like this all he time, even high profile ones.
Great pick up… and great looking figure! Missed out and kinda skipped it since i still think I don’t won’t to support this price craziness. Do think it sucks they did not add the flightpole and and jet effect. For the price he is selling I think it is just a bit too basic and feels like a smart kit bash to make fast money.
Putting my money in the Clone Wars version! And yesterday Mace Windu arrived .. so those will look cool together

I’m still learning about the HTs exclusive SW figs and wondered if as well as being limited they go that little bit extra with them?
I've been late to the game with a lot of earlier figures so these days I like to expedite new figures into the collection!
Ironically I think they give us *less* with the limited figures. They make it an exclusive and then it's pretty much guaranteed to sell out. Historically it's been the DX figures where we get more bang for our buck. I can't complain though because I love the company and I love Star Wars 😅

Congratulations on getting one bud. It's a must for your collection. Obviously not for me as film version figures are more of my line. But I do like the revenge of the Sith one more. Better looking beard and one I can identify with more. But am so happy you have one 😊
