Hard to believe anyone would be "offended" by the pic. It didn't show the bloodied bodies. It was a family which was "slaned" (could have been the stone mason was a bad speller). And, I felt you handled the entire story with the taste and dignity it deserved. Here we are roughly 120 years later and individuals--for any of a number of reasons--sometimes STILL become angry to the point of committing murder. Fine job, Ron.
Because everyone and anyone is offended by anything these days. The real picture isn't that graphic, but I respect that their faces were hidden. It's a kind gesture.
Those photographs of the dead ones taken was a normal thing to do back then . Strange but true. Thanks Ron for honoring the memories of the Pearson family. 🙏🏼Stay warm 😊
Parsons family in Romulus NY was also wiped out by the father/husband. 4 children and wife were murdered almost 100 year later from this family., Great video as always
I happened to see the original. I was not offended. Truth is truth. It was a terrible incident, very sad and awful to see but it was what it was! Thank you for sharing the story again!
My dad’s family is from Licking and are still there. My grandfather and great grandfather were at the hanging. Jody is buried in the cemetery where a lot of my family is buried. I believe that Jody suffered from a brain injury and unfortunately committed such a horrific crime because of. Just guessing of course, I have had several clients with brain injuries who would just snap.
Interestingly, Henry the 8th was a very fair and upstanding person and king until he suffered a catastrophic head injury in a jousting match. He then became crazed. The brain is a mysterious thing for sure!!
I had a friend from childhood who fell from a 2nd story balcony and ended up with TBI(traumatic brain injury). He was a super friend, but he could go off in a rage over nothing and hurt people! I felt terrible for him.He died a young man as a direct result of his brain injury. It happens. Uncontrollable rage.
I’ve often seen this picture and wondered what happened to this family. Thank you Ron for giving us the story behind the picture, it is very sad for all involved 😢💔
I'm glad you got this one back in the feed. The fly in and the music is so amazing. The story of how quickly death row inmates were executed back then -- instead of being allowed to do appeals and stall for decades until they die naturally of old age after dragging the victims' families through constant court cases like they do today -- is interesting to hear. So sad about this family.
I bet if they still held trials and punishment like that today there would be a lot less crime. But a lot more protesters would be there and it makes me think what they would do if happened to someone in their family.
Interesting, sad story, well told. Thank you. I feel bad for all of them. Jodie probably had a traumatic brain injury from the mule kicks, but no one would have had any idea what that was back then.
Thanks so much Ron for providing us with this fascinating terrible story! It is now Christmas Week, 2022. And I wish you and yours a blessed Christmas Season and a Marvelous New Year! Your channel is a special part of my week, each week! Btw, it sounds like the murderer had TBI, traumatic brain injury. And that combined with childhood violent abuse made him a walking stick of dynamite. Tragic all the way around. Especially the children and wife. 😭😭😭
I had family who lived in Licking...in the 1860's though. I feel so much sadness for what this family endured. May they all rest in peace. Thanks for sharing again.
I for one loved this episode. I’ve been to the area where this happened. It hasn’t changed much, one wouldn’t think. As far as the post-mortem picture, at least the poor family had been cleaned, dressed, and posed. That didn’t always happen. Geez. Great job as always, Ron❤
Such a sad story 🙏🏻 Loose noose hanging, sounds deliberate. "Slan" meaning "to hit, to beat" in West Germanic dictionary. Considering the beatings the Parson family endured the photo looks rather peaceful. Thanks for taking us along Ron 🥰
The faces in the original photo did show some signs of their injuries, but by then, they had all been cleaned up (obviously) and put in their other clothing, so it's really not that terrible to look at, except for the sadness of it. BTW, Minnie Parsons was several months pregnant with what would have been the couple's fourth child. She was some years younger than her husband Carney, and an alternate or gossipy version added that Jody Hamilton possibly had an unrequited crush on Minnie, adding to his rage over the other perceived offenses.
Ron as a kid around 10 I got drawn to the cemeatary after my uncle died .I'd see the graves with photos I'd cry it causes me anxiety for years and I'd visit our flowers now I found ur channel I feel normal again
Such a tragic story Ron. I enjoyed watching this again. Sometimes the strangest arguments lead to this kind if insane violence. The music and drone shots were certainly memorable and noone can tell the story like you do!!! 😉
Ron you are amazing! Your stories are wonderful and your drone footage is amazing. Oh plus the music you put to each episode fits so well. Thank you for all the hard work and time you put into this channel!
Tonight was my first viewing of your channel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. At a mature age you are able to understand and convey these stories from long ago. The story made me think of my grandparents graves.. They are buried in a tiny church side cemetery. My aunt researched our family history back seven generations to gain evidence of a family member who fought in the Revolutionary War. I am fortunate to have these many pages of my mother's side of the family. Today many think of our country's history as "dead white guys" but it is so much more. Thank you for giving voice to those who are forgotten.
This sure was worth watching again. Sometimes the 2nd time I pick up more insight then the first. To see this whole family wiped out like this still brings the same sadness though. I'm not sure why anyone who is interested in a cemetery channel would be offended by the family picture. I see death as an eternal extension of life. I have more fear of living then I do of dying. No more suffering no more pain and no one will have to carry a gun in heaven. RIP to this beautiful family. They sure didn't deserve this.
I love the way u tell these story’s with such compassion my grandad gave me a puff on his pipe once he taught me a lesson I coughed my guts up and he couldn’t stop laughing rest his soul thank u for all your hard work❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you for sharing this sad story . May they be at peace .what a shame the whole family murdered . Thank you for not forgetting this family God Bless them . Your drone shots are amazing.
Hello Ron; well I go "think I saw this video" guess what? It was the very first video I have ever seen in your channel 11 months ago. I was impressed by the murder of the "whole" Parson's family. Your introduction and music selection very nice. I think the two unfortunate mule kicks to Jody's head really affected him. Very sad story. RIP Carney, Minnie, Jessie, Frank and Edward. To you and your family; enjoy your vacation in the snow and best wishes for 2023. Elizabeth Cantarell
Another excellent very well documented and filmed programme of this very sad but interesting story of this murdered family which people can watch and enjoy for many more years to come . Many Thanks.
I want to thank you for all your videos, they are so nice to watch, and I get to see places I've never seen, I'm 52 and have never been out of the four state area.
Sir, it has been way too long since I have had the privilege of watching your great videos but I am able again and you just get better and better and I thank you for your time and effort. #WEAREIN
Thanks Ron may the family rest in peace, and thanks for the pipe I started watching and then I smelled the aroma of cherry pipe tobacco the strangest thing of all things but I can still smell it.
Hello. Happy New Year. It's going to be a great year?..imhave to laighnat myself. I say "oh I'll just watch one video" and an hour later ...I'm still watching. I like the music on this one. Tops
it was apart of history yes it’s sensitive, tragic but death photos where in many homes it was how they honoured their loved ones you do such a great job making it so they, their story isn’t forgotten a heart of gold
This is just unbelievable...youtube is full of disgusting stuff that no one complains about. Who dares to be offended, in the year of 2022 with so much freedom of doing anything, by a photo which in the mid-19th century up to the first third of the 20th century, Post-mortem photography was common practice! I wish you Ron and your family the best for the year to come.
You're not far from Ft. Leonard Wood! My son is stationed there and he and his family are not quite an hour away. They love to go to Springfield. Bass Pro and Lambert's at Ozark. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
Thanks for the story Ron. It was a very very sad one Ofcourse. Specially when it involes lil kids😪 It didn't have to end like that. Some ppl are cold hearted
I DO remember this so well Ron! Truly sad. So strange that you can look for these images online. But can folks include them in their videos in a respectful manor? I guess not! RIP to the Parsons family 🙏

thanks Bob, agree.
That's what the world's turned into 🔥
I seen this picture not covered ? No big deal 🤷🏼♀️
Because everyone and anyone is offended by anything these days. The real picture isn't that graphic, but I respect that their faces were hidden. It's a kind gesture.
I found nothing offensive about the photo
Those photographs of the dead ones taken was a normal thing to do back then . Strange but true. Thanks Ron for honoring the memories of the Pearson family. 🙏🏼Stay warm 😊
It wasn't any more common then than they are today. MANY photos from the Victorian era are mislabeled as post mortem when they are NOT post mortem.
Thank you for sharing this story, Ron. It's a very sad one, but you have honored them. R.I.P. Parsons Family.
Parsons family in Romulus NY was also wiped out by the father/husband. 4 children and wife were murdered almost 100 year later from this family., Great video as always
It really takes a special kind of person to do what you do. So many forgotten people are graciously remembered, thank you....
Rest in Peace you beautiful Parson Family. My heart breaks for you ❤and I did shed tears. 😢 Those beautiful babies didn’t even get a chance.
I happened to see the original. I was not offended. Truth is truth. It was a terrible incident, very sad and awful to see but it was what it was! Thank you for sharing the story again!
Is the original gone?

I was thinking same thing. Brain injuries can do that, especially with frontal lobe damage.
Interestingly, Henry the 8th was a very fair and upstanding person and king until he suffered a catastrophic head injury in a jousting match. He then became crazed. The brain is a mysterious thing for sure!!
Parson = blackmailer

RIP Parson family. Such a sad ending to a young family. May you rest in the arms of our Lord....🙏😔❤
The guy should have paid Jody the $25 he promised.
Amen!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’ve often seen this picture and wondered what happened to this family. Thank you Ron for giving us the story behind the picture, it is very sad for all involved 😢💔

Interesting and tragic story of the Parsons Family. Beautifully edited.
Thanks for reshowing this episode its a sad story may they all rest in peace together
So weird someone would complain about that picture, it's all over the internet. I'm watching you because I like your storytelling.
That was a very sad story thank you Ron for sharing, I have missed hearing "we are in " God bless the family 🙏

RIP Parsons Family 🌹 🌸🕊 💐 🌹 🌸 💐 🕊 .
He didn’t have to kill those innocent kids, so cruel how he done this family. All because he couldn’t control his temper. So sad.😢
Ron I appreciate your choice of music and drone footage for your different subject content
