Mintlaw ROV pupils meet HM King Charles III during royal visit to Global Underwater Hub

His Majesty King Charles III chats to members of the Mintlaw ROV team and inspects the group's ROV which has been built by the school pupils themselves.
Mintlaw ROV are a small group of 3rd-6th-year students at Mintlaw Academy in Aberdeenshire who are building their own Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV). With support from their sponsors and mentor, Ali Hynd, the group is aiming to compete internationally at the MATE ROV Competition. The group is aiming to share their newly established skills and passion for engineering with anyone they can.
