This is a great tutorial! I purchased my first guitar in April and have tried many different things to try to play a tune quickly, and have only succeeded in memorizing twinkle twinkle little star! LOL!
I have been practicing this for 3 days now and I can finally start to her the notes through all of my screw ups.
I really appreciate this. Im practicing this in secret. I am going to sing this to my girlfriend right before I propose, so I need to nail this soon!

Hey Matt.. country song teacher!!! I've been watching your videos a few months. I wouldn't call myself a beginner with music. In my younger years, I've played tuba in marching band and have sung in my church choir. I have a good ear for music, read music, and want to keep these skills. However I would call myself, as a guitar player, a beginner still. The few months, watching your videos, I've added those four chords you talk about, in "Save it for a rainy day" song. Any tips for doing bar chords would be great appreciated. Lastly, I play on a real takamine six string guitar.
love ur lessons , but i find your strumming pattern very difficult, but i think its because i got myself so used to my own strumming pattern before finding your videos lol. i will just keep practicing :) Thanks for all your time though, your videos have made me much better than i was a month ago :)
And one more thing! I'm glad you mentioned John 3:17. My past mistakes in relationships have made me fearful in new relationships. Sometimes when bad things happen I get insecure and wonder if it's punishment for things I have done in the past but everything happens for a reason. People tell you don't look back look forward but if you look back and see where all your mistakes have lead you it will make you stop regretting them. Everyone makes mistakes and they're usually for a good reason. Mine have lead me to a fresh start in life and have made me into a person that I am proud to have become!

I just got back into playing guitar this year I haven't really played since I was 16 due to a bit of discouragement and Iv missed it! I came to figure out the strum pattern and it's the same one I seem to get stuck on for some reason when I'm just goofing around haha! I am now subscribed! Thank you again!

Lol, I was just playing it! I beat you to that one! Thanks to you I would have never progressed to be the player I am able to pick up songs easily and their strumming patterns (thinking about it as a drum makes it a ton easier). Even the songs that include barre chords

Yeah, not as easy as you think. I'm not a native speaker, but i found that the lyrics are quite hard to sing, also you have to split up and remember the chords in order to perform the song perfectly
it may be "challenging" at first. just practice and before you know it, it will be second nature to you.
Im sure you can get it. Just takes practice. First rule of playing any instrument is have fun. I 100% recommend you get a guitar and practice, it will be worth it! Dont get discouraged because someone says its "hard"
