Anime has a way of making viewers expect the MC to turn up despite the premise/genre of series. I wished he could get up and break faces but this isn't that kind of show.

Like aside from the time travelling stuff, a lot of Tokyo Revengers is actually pretty realistic, like the MC turns up, then still gets beat up. But yeah we'll see man

Hope you guys enjoy the show. But just gotta say it's weird how people expect Takemitchy to all of a sudden start kicking ass when he hasn't fought in years. He's not gonna change his spots overnight. Plus there are things he's not gonna remember in his past, due to suffering extreme trauma from being a slave. And certain events will change.

The juvenile delinquency plot of this anime gets criticized for being corny and unbelievable because of how far fetched it seems, but this was a real and prevalent culture in Japan in the 70's and 80's, if you ever have the chance, read the details of Murder of Junko Furuta, it's some truly horrifying shit.
Takemichi has a realistic vibe to him and that was enough for me to give him respect,though he can’t fight but he’s tougher than most middle schoolers.
It's almost inception rules. When takemitchi goes back his present body falls asleep and it's up to nauto to protect it
They keep thinking this show is about the characters turning up by gaining a power boost randomly and beating the villain like can you not tell already that this show isn't like every other bad guy vs good guy anime? smh
