foundation update: after about 6 hours, i got a little bit oily, but it looked nice! it didnt break up or move & i love it.

As a 34 yr old in recovery for an eating disorder, thank you for the intro you did. I needed to hear all of that! I have tattoos, piercings and an edgier style and I have definitely felt like I shouldn’t look a certain way since I’m a mom in my 30s. Fuck that! Life is too short. I'm in my 20's and everybody that has the same style than me has lots of tattoo's but I don't feel comfortable to do it yet, since I'm inside my parents house (in Brazil it's super normal for the kids to stay at home till they can afford good living) but once I'ma mom and have my own house if someone looks weird at me I'm gonna just say: respect me I'm a mom and pay my own bills. Coincidentally, seeing Jordy in pretty clothes when she got heavier is what motivated me to buy pretty clothes in my size and got me to start feeling beautiful again regardless of my weight, she really helped me see myself and my body type in a positive light so I hope she gets to know she’s done that

I'm 53 years old (the photo of me was taken about 6 months ago). I wear my hair how I want - I love it blue, I have piercings and tattoos, I wear what I like and I love colourful make up. As far as I'm concerned I'm on this earth once, and I'm damn well going to do this life my way and I'm going to enjoy it. If people don't like it then I don't need those people in my life. BTW, I have a very good and responsible job in the UK's second largest police force. Being yourself does not mean that you have to have a brain like lime jello, we can be "different" and whip smart too. x

I COMPLETELY understand the thought process in the beginning of this video...I can't wear anything I used to, my.body has been in a fight with me for years now.... and its winning.... (im older, never thought I'd be this old) I can't embrace it. :( I have no clue what your lil one was saying but vocal dreams are killer.... I swear I was screaming in my sleep a few days ago and made.myself wake up because I didn't want to wake anyone else up! I love original KVD liquid lipsticks but after I bought the go big mascara..... and it was aweful.... I doubt I'll be sucked back in the vortex again.... lol. Its nice seeing your face.... OMG I am only 2 minutes in and I relate SO MUCH to how you feel about your style, etc. I used to always be wearing different things and putting different looks together. Years ago I lost all of my confidence and now I just wear oversized hoodies everyday now to just hide my body. I really wish I could pull out of it like you are. I just don't have even the slightest bit of self esteem left..

Oh my gosh I so appreciated your message in the beginning... I am 33 turning 34 this year, and I swear I still love to wear like, "trendy" clothes, athelisure, backwards snapbacks, oversize track jackets, air force ones, and jordans... My 18 year old step-daughter says I look like a "bro-girl" 😅 I dunno whether that's a good thing or a bad thing! Haha...
But, I too have gained about 45 lbs over the last couple years... Mostly because I was quite severely thin before, when I was in an 11 year abusive relationship... I was 5'4"/5'5", 100 lbs... partially because I knew he liked supermodel skinny girls but also partially because I think stress and trauma sure does eat up a lot of calories lol...
Now I'm finally in a beautiful, loving, patient, amazingly nurturing relationship... I feel like my life has only just now begun... I was in an emotional coma before... Ever since my lovely partner and I have been together, 2 & 1/2 years now... feeling so fulfilled, mentally & emotionally... But not to mention that I definitely get "full" a lot because he is a professional chef!! 😉😉😍😍 lol...
So yes, I have certainly packed on some "happy pounds"!! And I too struggle sometimes with accepting and loving my "new body shape", along with accepting that I'm not in my twenties anymore! I feel like I am only just now exploring and honing in on what kind of clothes and makeup I truly like, because I like how it makes ME feel... My partner helps me understand that, what HE finds mosy attractive, its whatever makes ME feel most attractive! 🥰🥰 Its been an amazing metamorphosis, to say the least...
I hope all of us as women - esp those of us who may not have had the best, most attentive & reliable father figure in our lives as we grew up, to help plant a healthy seed of self-worth, regardless of what anyone else says... I hope we can truly come to the realization that - if we are always true or OURSELVES... if we let our true selves out, express our inner child and our true wishes and dreams, if we make their voice be heard... It can be one of the most rewarding things in our lives...
We never know what day will be our last... Please spend time to connect with that inner child, even if she's scared and battered... I hope we can all as women can reach out a loving and helping hand to our inner selves, and become fully self-realized 💜 Knowing that no one else has the power to change our opinion and value of ourselves...

Oh I can so relate to you. I am turning 31 in 12 days and due to an incurable illness I had gained like 60lbs. So for a few years I used my clothing to hide just like you and now I’m finally realizing that I don’t care what anyone thinks. I need to just do what I want. Age is just a number. I’m trying to get healthy and lose some weight but I’ll never be the way I was before. And that’s okay! I hate the rules like if you have a baby you need to cut your hair or if you’re over 30 you shouldn’t wear a short skirt... I say screw it! I definitely relate. I was big punk in middle school high school and then I had to gain weight from eating disorder recovery, outgrew all my clothes, and never got my confidence back. I’m about to graduate college now and just starting to find myself again.
