a few tips for the peeps who like to jam towards the front at shows:
- it gets really muddy -- not from rain but they often throw out open water bottles 😅 it's a mess but fun if you catch one. wear washable shoes!
- save screenshots of the showtimes and map cause you won't always have something nearby or phone service. and you'll probs want to plan ahead to get there early enough
- compressible water bottles or water backpacks are a necessity, carrying around a big bottle is annoying
- high fidelity ear plugs are a game changer (I have the Loop ones and they're great)

I had my phone pickpocketed at Perry’s in 2021. Go to lollapalooza but a Fanny Pack or anything with a zipper is a must for me! Thanks for the video, it was high quality!!

My biggest tip: wear close toed shoes!! even tho it's hot, do not like your toes get squished by the crowds

I'm binge-ing* tips and tricks since this will be my first time at Lollapalooza for NewJeans :D I really resonate with what you said about rather being at the back to have space to dance than being towards the front and possibly feeling squished or overheated. Do you feel that your view or overall experience is hindered by being behind the crowds or seeing the artist from further away?
Not at all! They have huge screens and great sound systems!
This is my first year. I could only afford one day but I’m going Sunday so I’m really excited. Need all the tips I can get! I booked a room at the Congress Plaza Hotel… it’s walking distance and if it sucks…. Oh well cause I hope to spend the least amount of time in the room. UGH I’m so excited!!

hi i’m going to lollapalooza this year to see new jeans like many of the people in the comments lol and it’s only going to be me and my mom and sister who are going. we’re staying at a hotel 20 minutes walking distance to grant park, would you still recommend that we walk? i’m just a little scared since that’s a long walk and i would assume we’re walking back when it’s night time.
i just wanted to ask since you’ve been! also would bringing a shoulder purse be a good idea? or a lululemon belt bag?

Thanks for this video ! I’ve never been to the festival or Chicago ( I’ve only driven through Chicago ) I’m staying near Chinatown,so it’s the loop south area. I bought my tickets and lanyard April 15th and am waiting for them to get to me by mail, any idea when they usually mail them out? I’m coming in from Washington DC for Thirty Seconds to Mars on Friday! Do you know where in the park they might be playing or have information on how to find the actual schedule and set times ?
I believe they mail the tickets in july

Ughhh i really want to go to see New Jeans, Lana Del Rey, and Alex G but they are all on different days and tickets are so expensive. Plus I get super anxious in big crowds

Be careful of pickpocketers for cell phones. Keep phones in front pockets or in fanny packs and make sure they are closed. Especially by the edm stage.

I think it's too difficult to actually bury a bottle at Grant Park because they close off the entire grounds starting in the middle of July. even if you do bury one and mark where you bury it there's no guarantee you'll be able to dig it up if you can't bring any tools with you lmao.
maybe somebody has but it doesn't sound feasible or plausible for most people lmao
My boyfriend’s brother used to bury bottles and dr*gs a week or so ahead of the festival when he was underage bc he couldn’t buy alcohol so I think that’s more likely the demographic burying things lol

You just get a wristband! It’s scannable
went to a festival in April went in blind never again I was dying the whole time, want to get a hydration pack for Lolla what brand do you recommend!
I don’t have one but used my friends hydro pack and it’s great!

I’ve never used them but I think it’s so big I would prefer to just bring minimal stuff and carry it on me.
do you have to have t mobile to use the tent?
I think so, because I looked at this too. Someone recommended downloading apps of the sponsors that will be there ahead of time. Some of them require you to have their apps to enter, and I’ve heard reception is not good there!
How do you know which stage a specific artist will be performing at ahead of time?

you didnt mention anything abt bags so imma just fill in. bags are a no no for me andd my friends when attending lolla. it’s always annoying and gets in the way plus how convenient for thieves if your stuff is all in one place. i’d say at leastt bring a fanny pack and at most a small tote or drawstring bag. lolla enforces the clear bag rule so make sure whatever you bring is clear
