One of the best nights of my life was working at the Belfry on 14th back in 2014 and Mike was our regular Monday night performer. One night in the middle of the biggest snow storm in the city’s recent history, even though maybe only 2 people were at the bar, he performed anyway. Pure acoustics (no need for a mic with such a small crowd) and he blew us all away. What a legend. So glad to see you found your way to the mainstream, always an easy village legend.
I love him 😭 And the guitarist. He’s been his partner in every performance. 💗
The guitarists name is, Showtime. I used to see them crush at 23rd st F train. Always gave Mike a hug and my time. I'd let trains pass by one after the other hear him and Showtime do their thing. Legends.

Sadly in this day and age, they're looking for youth and marketability more than just raw talent. But hopefully he gets steady work somewhere to share his gifts.

Can't watch it without sheddin tears. When a man can sing a song said man has heard a 1000 times and he can make him tear up ? He's got it
I've listened to dozen's of different versions of this song but for some reason when he sing's it hit's so much harder.
It’s because you can feel his passion, his pain, when he sings he isn’t just singing he is displaying all of that ( passion, pain,joy etc)in the form of a song on top of that having a marvelous voice … with that being said, it touches me as well

My 5 year old listened to him using my earbud. The whole time sat still and at the very end gave me an ear to ear grin. This man has some serious, serious talent to make my kid listen to him for over 10 seconds. Absolutely love this man!

I think he cleaned it up too much,and did too many runs but he still has a absolutely beautiful voice!
He had to sing for his supper back in NYC! I saw an interview before he was on this show where he said that's how he made money! Acoustics are different plus the subway clips were probably edited for vocals to clear out background noise, especially in NYC subways! I've been there, very noisy!
To be fair, he went from singing in front of a few people to singing in front of the 4 most judge mental people in America.
He’s certainly changed up some of his tone before he auditioned from what we first seen on the subway but he always nails every song he does!
It's FEAR from not being good enough to go on that made him change up‼️HE CHANGED UP 4 FEAR OF MEL "B" SAYING Something NEGATIVE (negative NANCY) & CAUSING HIM 2 GET KICKED OUT & SHE WASN'T EVEN THERE, THANK GOD‼️💯
