Piper Chieftain walkaround

A walkaround our PA31 Chieftain in this video. The Piper Chieftain is the larger version of the Piper Navajo (both designated a PA31).
The Chieftain is powered by two turbocharged Lycoming engines, producing 350 horsepower per side.
This PA31 is fitted with a Garmin G600 glass cockpit, and two GTN navigators (the GTN650 and GTN750).
In this video we go through a basic preflight for the aircraft, and talk through an engine start.

I flew the Navajo for almost 2 years and I really came to love it a lot, I miss it and I would like to fly it again. work carrying postal cargo and bank securities. I remember one time our right engine went out at rotation speed and I thought that my partner had cut it on purpose. but in reality the right tank had run out of fuel and my first officer had not changed to the inner tank, the reaction was quick where he changed to the tank with no fuel and turned on the pump, starting the engine again. After my partner told me that it had really turned off, I realized that it was a real loss of power. In short, I have many stories about that plane. On my channel I think I have a video left landing on the island of Margarita in Venezuela.

Thanks for commenting! They are a great aircraft, I have a real soft spot for them. That would have raised your heartbeat for a bit when the engine stopped on rotation!
