  • Complete tutorial on how to make stars from your favorite beverage can. A fun project using completely free materials (because it is 100% recycled supplies).
Aluminum soda cans are like the Altoid Tins of the beverage industry. You can easily modify and repurpose them in so many fun and useful ways. And of course, everything I show in the video can truly be made for FREE. I have been experimenting for many years to find tools, gadgets and other fun stuff that can be made from left over cans. Many of these can be acomplished with some different and simple hacks! Yes, I am using Coca Cola, Bang and Monster Energy Drink cans for this demo but there is no endorsement from these companies... unless they'd like to endorse me :-)!

This might be a great idea to keep in mind with the holiday season approaching (quicker every year). Just 2 months away. Ugh!

Very good idea... and yes, the realization of this being September 1st already caught me off guard. It doesn't seem possible... and yet here it is. LOL.

Hope you can compile a soda can project playlist in time. Saw there wasn't a specific one for that.

@@DialedInDIY Of course!!! :) I should have elaborated lol! I actually started saving my Monster cans so I can try this!! ;) I really appreciated the details and how thoroughly you explained everything, I really love the finished product! Soo many options, I was thinking of trying to poke holes in the stars and trying to put two of them over a strand of white lights. It would be really pretty at night! Not sure how to make the holes...or if it's even feasible, but that's crafting for ya! :) They would be cool as a mobile too. See all kinds of ideas!
Seriously though, your really great at teaching! I can't wait to see what you come up with next! Thanks again for the great idea, I can't wait to try it out!

Thank you so much for the very kind feedback. You have some great ideas. For holes you could try making them before folding the can (at the holes after the score lines are created to make sure they do not end up on a fold line). A pushpin and a cutting board or piece of wood may do the trick (if that size hole would be big enough). I'd love to hear how it turns out once you get a chance to try it!

I've been subscribed for years.....I don't understand why his channel hasn't blown up! Honestly, as far as original content goes......this channel is right at the top of my list.......where everybody else seem to copy and paste each other's diy/hacks videos.

I appreciate you saying that! Believe me I have had times when I thought it would be much quicker and easier to pop in some occasional videos that are a pseudo repeat of other projects I've seen... but then it wouldn't really be Dialed In would it? LOL... I really appreciate the support!!

@@coolnegative Yes!!! Totally true! I think that's why I'm so drawn to the channel, it's authentic and real...not just copy and paste! I don't mind waiting for content, especially when it's diy's and cool projects! It obviously takes time to come up with ideas, and get them camera ready! I wish more people would worry about content rather than quantity!!!

Sounds like a good project. I don't know if you saw a related video that I did but if not this could be a good start. Add recorded sound to anything - Change sound from toys n gadgets: ruclips.net/video/IClteILFDQQ/видео.html
That shows a single track method of recording and playback but I also reference the other types of options that exist for doing what I think you are asking about. Does that help or were you looking for something different?
