- The Converse Weapon is back but a little different to the OG version. This version uses a new midsole design to add some CX foam for extra comfort underfoot. Have they changed it for the worse? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Height at the heel is 5 cm. Just got mine today, and played outdoor bball w/ them. Ok traction, Great padding/safety around the ankles, good firm cushioning. So they work better than the orig Weapons I used to play outdoor in . They're not just fashion/lifestyle shoes.

I just came across your channel today. I go back a long way in Converse shoes. I played basketball (in Australia) going back to the '70s. I initially wore Chucks (made in the USA), then Pro Leathers (made in the USA). Going into the '80s, when the Weapon came out, I wasn't really a fan and Converse has other models that I wore. The last Converse shoe that I played in that I really liked was the evolution of the Weapon, called the Loaded Weapon, which came out in the early 2000s. It was my favourite shoe of all time and I'd love it if they were reissued, however (as I'm sure you know), there were dramas over the name, so I'm not holding my breath. Sad really, after all, it's just a name...

Dumb question. Would you feel comfortable and have support playing basketball in those shoes?
not dumb at all!! i dont play basketball but i wouldnt have an issue playing in them - they are more of a lifestyle shoe though and if you did want something to ball in, prob sme other good options to check out that are cheaper - like the PG6

I don't think these would be as good a basketball shoe like the OG but I haven't played in them!
The shoes is heavy, it's suitable for big man, just like Lebron 19
All these new "Weapons" CX Made me do is go out and buy some Real Converse Weapons. The 2014 edition of the shoe are Sick, and much better than these stupid CX shits, same with the John Varatos Weapons.
NICEEEE. I like these (CX Weapons) but they definitely are no OG Weapon, thats for sure
They look TERRIBLE!! That heel is ugly and if you had the older model you would realize what a travesty this is that they made this.
They definitely are not the OG! I don't mind the CX still but i get what you mean - the OG is sweeter!
