Amazing progress by the whole team! I couldn't be happier with this heritage paint choice; it's wonderful to bring it back on a car that's always suited vibrant shades and I have no doubt the completed look will be spot on. Thanks for all the work to save this disaster from the scrap yard.
Ryan , what a transformation , yes, the colour is not for everyone , but Tim likes it and that is what matters , the skills that you, your Dad and Uncle Richard have used are fantastic to watch , to everyone involved , brilliant job.
My two favourite things are Ryan pulling all nighters, making & installing panels, and the entire team coalescing on a project to get it over the line. Superb work always.
If I still had my first car from way back in the 80's (Fiat 128 3p Berlinetta) & had just won the lottery I would be giving you guys a call!! Great work.
I knew that you would make a great job of it, you are a highly skilled team, and family, but seeing the car now, its bloody epic, you have brought a rare messed up classic car back from the dead, and turned it back into one of Stuttgarts finest, I am willing to bet that Shmee prefers this over all of his other cars, and his wife never gets to drive it !!!
1:56 Holy smokes, guys, you shouldn't be sitting in front of one of those lasers working, let alone without any form of eye protection. Even a bounce back off a shiny part will seriously damage your retinas.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration you need movable curtains with warning signs when the laser is in use, so no one enters the area will it's working. reflections could easy blind someone.
After weeks of waiting and watching the 914 vids and rebuild. What a tremendous anticlimax, the colour has killed the vibe for me. Dark Pink is just so sad for me, still it belongs to Shmee 150 , he’s paying , his car, his choice so 👍👍 if he likes it that’s the only opinion that matters .
Hello 👋 Ryan and everyone..man that looks 👌 perfect buddy..can't wait to see the rest of it. Take care buddy good to see you tell everyone I said hello 👋 bada Bing bada boom 💥 my friend.
I know you are speaking English but that word, "small", does not mean what you think it does. Great job, yet again! Can't wait to see it rolling again.
I think the color balance on the video might also be a bit off. That is why people keep screaming about the car being "pink". I reserve judgment until the finished product is ready.
Love your work team YCR. Couple of questions, 1. Do you have to heat up the paint booth to get the paint on? and 2. Why didn't Tim get the motor and trans striped, and rebuilt? or is it going to have an upgrade eventually? Looking good though, Pippy must be excited, finally to get one in the collection that's hers. Where is the baby seat going??
I'm sure Tim will get a new exhaust system for the car and rebuild that engine because there's no telling the condition of that engine if it has any issues
What fantastic progress! Thought the car looked great in metallic blue - not so sure about the Barbie Pink. I will however, reserve judgment until it is complete.
Hmm, generally nice work. Dry ice blasting would have been a better first step for engine and transmission. Tins and other engine pieces should not be flat black. Cerakote would be better choice for longevity in the high heat environment. And won't you also be painting the bottom side also?
Just curious, with the engine out and cleaned, why not do a full rebuild and replace all the seals in the engine? These are typically very leaky cars and that would have been the best time.
It looks like pink to me😅 knowing me I would cursing the paint colour while painting it😅 it will deprecate the value and the size of the resale market greatly, to one person. Even the brown 911 colour of the early 80's would have been a better choice. But then again it isn't mine. Only feel it a shame after all this craftsmanship went into it.
You should make a nice plaque for it that says "Rubystone Red: an original Porsche colour" 😄 Also, what the flip happened to Matt's E24? You did such an amazing job on that and then it just went dead.
You cleaned the outsid eof the engine? Did you do any of the mechanical bits? Was there a compression check done? Or do you have that done by another shop?
Amazing progress by the whole team! I couldn't be happier with this heritage paint choice; it's wonderful to bring it back on a car that's always suited vibrant shades and I have no doubt the completed look will be spot on. Thanks for all the work to save this disaster from the scrap yard.
A disaster indeed. But look at it now!! And what a fantastic colour choice!
Perfect colour for the Mrs. It must be love! ❤️
Very vibrant I still wonder how it will look in the light think that color could look good with a smidge of pearl in it?
Amazing job guys wow ❤️
This has to be Puppi150s car - ever watched Wacky Races - definitely giving Penelope Pitstop vibes
The Blue that it was looked so much better to me !
This colour is not serving the image of our 914's.
Ryan , what a transformation , yes, the colour is not for everyone , but Tim likes it and that is what matters , the skills that you, your Dad and Uncle Richard have used are fantastic to watch , to everyone involved , brilliant job.
Thank you so much :)
Shame he won't use it after all the work they have done
I miss my 914. I have truly enjoyed watching this build. This whole series has me looking for another 914.
Thanks! YCR rocks🎉🎉
Thank you so much David!!! That is very kind of you! It really does help!
I am so excited to see the car on the road in the nice Rudy star and when I saw the "little engine lift" I think that is a understatement
🤣🤣
Great job. But should have chosen an in period colour, it's going to look like a barbie mobile.
It's a porsche colour
@@yorkshirecarrestoration It is a 964 colour to be precise. I have a feeling it may not suit this car, but we'll find out...
not on a 914, Barbie car is correct, color for this classic is hideous
My two favourite things are Ryan pulling all nighters, making & installing panels, and the entire team coalescing on a project to get it over the line. Superb work always.
I love watching the series and all the intricate details. Great job! I can't wait to see the finished car!
Thanks a bunch!
All the fantastic work that's been done on the body deserved for the engine and box to be rebuilt too.
I feel like eventually it will be
Either revealed or replaced
Possibly in the works
Great job guys! Makes me now want to paint my 73 2.0 Signal Orange (L20E)!
Outstanding work, what a transformation👌
Wow!! I Love your attention to detail. You boys are the best!!! ❤😊
Thanks so much! 😊
If I still had my first car from way back in the 80's (Fiat 128 3p Berlinetta) & had just won the lottery I would be giving you guys a call!! Great work.
Thank you :)
What an amazing transformation, and a real team effort.
Can’t wait to see it drive out.
Us too!
Killed it boys
It’s so magical watching you show your skills
Thank you :)

Thanks
That applys to anyone in the shop nearby getting hit by a reflected beam. Scary tech.
As they say never look in to a laser with your remaining good eye.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration you need movable curtains with warning signs when the laser is in use, so no one enters the area will it's working. reflections could easy blind someone.
Fumes off cutting lasers are also hazardous, small particle size which can get deep into your lungs. Remember, HSE watch RUclips too! 😅
Epic episode. Truly a milestone
Thank you so much!!
I hope he is very happy with all your hard work Ryan Steve and Richard
Thank you David!
It really is a shame to do this much work to paint it Pepto-Bismol pink.
Patrzę jak zaczarowany na pracę tego laserowego urządenia, ale bym czyścił jak bym je miał🤩 Różowy prosiak, któż by nie chciał takiej sztuki😉
That color is so much better than the blue, great choice of color by Tim's girlfriend.
that is just incredible to see it at last! At that point! Well done to you all! Bravo!
If it was mine, I would have sent the engine to a specialist for a complete rebuild. would have done that weeks ago
The build isn't yet complete
@@yorkshirecarrestoration yes, but it would have saved you guys all of that work you put in to cleaning it..
Massive respect, looking brilliant.
Thank you! Cheers!
Congratulations it's really good well done lad's.
Thank you very much!
Great stuff guys. It’s come a long way.
Hasn't it just!
Now thats an engine hoist!
Filler over the pin holes in the inner cill? You are human then 🤣
Great job so far guys 👍🤘
Just a bit of a wobbly iner sill, needed a bit of filler :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration check ur video.. I see pin holes in steel 🤷♂️👍
amazing job !
What an amazing job of restoring this classic...
Can't wait to see it finished.
Each and every step look like a ton of work
Talk about transforming a car, that is bananas
Epic … good to see you back in the mix again Steve, I always look forward to seeing your handy work 😊
looking amazing guys
Thank you!!!
Love that storm grey snap on box. I have the same set up.
The best!
WOW What a fantastic job your are doing can’t wait to see the next episode 🤩
That laser machine is something else bud
It's a beast ehh?
Fantastic work 👍
Many thanks
Love it, YCR150 it is.
😇
A new YCR and Mat Armstrong upload. Damn i love Sundays. Badabing Badaboom 💪🏻
Top work guys! Honestly I love the color. Tim knows how to spec cars 😉 can’t wait for the next update 🍻
Neat little engine hoist you have there 😂
Only a small one 🤣🤣
I'm not saying that paint color is bad ... but maybe Faguar, or is it Draguar will like it.
It's better in person
Great job.
Thanks!
You've got to try to make some toast with that laser thing!
Will do :)
After weeks of waiting and watching the 914 vids and rebuild. What a tremendous anticlimax, the colour has killed the vibe for me.

Each of your videos is a new discovery and surprise. Thank you for your creativity and effort!😋🛣🌆
I feel bad for you guys at YCR. After all your painstaking work and then Tim chooses that hideous color to paint the 914. That’s awful!
Going to be a beautiful car.
Hello 👋 Ryan and everyone..man that looks 👌 perfect buddy..can't wait to see the rest of it. Take care buddy good to see you tell everyone I said hello 👋 bada Bing bada boom 💥 my friend.
Senor Chang approves that color
Awesome!
Love this series. Any chance of an update on Furze's BMW?
I know you are speaking English but that word, "small", does not mean what you think it does. Great job, yet again! Can't wait to see it rolling again.
Awesome colour - it looked great on the 964 Porsches back in the day. Bold choice as ever, but somehow Tim always makes it work.
Couldn't agree more!
"Small Engine Hoist!" LOL
Bad-a-bing-bad-a-BOOM!
Haha love it!!!!!
Your videos always bring so much joy and smiles! Thank you for your talented sense of humor and your bright, infectious performances!🟠🥁⚓️
multiple colors of zip ties can make reassembly a bit easier and save some time on labeling you just match the colors!
Good idea
I think the color balance on the video might also be a bit off. That is why people keep screaming about the car being "pink". I reserve judgment until the finished product is ready.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration taking pics helps as well!!
I would be trading that laser in for a decent blasting cabinet!!
Prolapsed🐈pink? Yikes.😳 A bit too... girlie medical for me. The restoration work, though, is first class. Cheers, lads!🍺
Thank you! And it's rubystone red :) an original porsche colour

Few weeks and when she leaves him . Be back for a respray. I'm in trade and love Ur channel btw xx
Yeah he’s such a nonce
Thank you:)
Nice job on the lipstick Porsche!
Now that it's all clean, all it needs is to replace /4 with /6
Maybe in the future :)
Tim better be quick in getting the interior sorted
😜
Yea, small engine lift mounted on a huge travelling beam. I’m jealous.
Flex on that support strut
On what?
@yorkshirecarrestoration when you you released the strut I thought there was a bit of pushback when u released not hater love your content xxxxx
Just a thought from some one who has done this: the fuel injection and all its wiring can be thrown away when you have a carb on the plenum !
Thanks!
Loving this build and awesome to see it progressing! What ever happened to the Mat Armstrong build?
Thank you. And MA E24 will be returning soon :)
Brilliant as always 👍🏻🇬🇧
I'm sure Tim will get a new exhaust system for the car and rebuild that engine because there's no telling the condition of that engine if it has any issues

Il y a encore quelques petits défauts au niveau de la traduction mais c'est déjà super!
Thank you!
Great👍
Nice to see it's on the home straight ....colours a bit out there lol but looks good
Ice blasting would have been my choice for cleaning up the engine.
Amazing transformation by you guys, you do amazing work. Im so disappointed with the colour though. To each their own i suppose.
PINK PORSCHE????????
Sorry i will not see any more the project.......

@ Pansy Pink more like 😂😂
Yeah, that was a small engine hoist! 😂
Beautiful colour, lovely build you guys are the best.
