Does the vehicle brake automatically when it comes to an obstacle, or do you apply the brakes? And what year is the Passat?

Thanks for reaction. The vehicle doesn’t automatically apply the brakes. Its 2011 1.4 tsi.

@ thnx for reply! Someone told me that the pla 2.0 has the possibility of automatic braking, when it encounters an obstacle, if there is a possibility of hitting an obstacle.
But that it has to be activated via VCDS.
Your passat b7 is PLA 2.0 version, parking assistance.
