and this is why I hate a lot of those riddles. I can only solve most of the ones that trick your sense of logic, because I know them. (For example bleh, my gear shift pattern is different than the one shown, my reverse gear is pulling up the knob and moving it to the bottom left, further than the 2nd gear.)
When I've heard the riddle in the past, it's usually phrased "climbs 3 ft in an hour, stops to rest, and slides back" in various wordings. (Also heard it as a per day, slides back at night while sleeping, etc)
Yeah he should've made that clear, otherwise by common logic anyone would assume that climbing and falling is occurring simultaneously hence any decent person with little knowledge of physics would use the concept of relative motion.
The eighth equation can also be solved by removing a horizontal lines from the "equal " symbol and place on top of the subtraction symbol so that it now becomes an equal symbol 101=102-1
Hey Pousali.... that's true. So you solved it by moving a line. Pls note that question asks you to move one numeral(number). But good to see your approach :)
@@mohamedaariz9007 u should get ur grammar right I am in 10th and I achieved national rank 2 in the English olympiad And I'm here to tell you that his grammar is perfect.... There's nothing wrong in it.
No bro coz. If you use the "transposition" method. Or simply add +102 to eliminate the -102 from the left side, it will require you to put the same number on the right side of the equation with the same sign. You can't magically change the equation without any logical reason or explanation. 101-102=1 101-102+102=1+102 101=103,which is false. 101 is not equal to 103
Although these are fun, most interviews don't involve riddles. Algorithm problems can look like riddles, and in some cases they have an aspect of a riddle, but typically they involve using fundamentals of CS to solve a problem.
For the last bonus riddle there is another logical explanation with answer 3, 1 is marked as 2, which is number of letters in (1) minus 1= 3-1 so 2, Similarly 3 is marked as 4, three has 5 letters and minus 1 is 4, in this way 5 can be 3 as well, five has 4 letters and minus 1 is number 3. We need to consider that option as well.
Hi Naveen, considering the fact that '6' is not the answer (which is mentioned in the puzzle), your answer is just perfect. I am really surprised to see your outside the box approach.... fantastic job.... i will mark this answer as one of my favorites.
#4 When you see such a sentence and notice the letters Q,Z, X are all in the sentence, you have to suspect all letters are used, since those 4 do not appear very often in everyday use.
Then I think it becomes a question of experience with this type of question. It is not testing anything. I doubt anyone would be answering this in the first attempt unless they have terrifying observational skills.
In 6:42 we can also take out the one line of the *equal to* sign and we can move it to the *substraction* sign in order to make it an *equal to* sign and the equasion also becomes equal. (101 = 102 - 1)
After a log time, i put some work to my mind with puzzled type questions but the final output is half off the questions traced with answers and this was done within the time period. The entire credits goes to logically yours team.
Riddle 8 can also b solve as... 101 = 102 - 1 (by just moving a line of equals to sign over the negative sign) it converts the ( -ve ) sign as ( = )sign and vise versa.
#6 could have many plausible answers, but you have to get touch with the mentality of riddlers, to know which is likely to be the most popular or favored answer. So really, this tests for ability to think within the box, within the conventions of riddle-making.

Hey Kishore.... since it's a riddle, you got to choose the best option.... although the explanation you gave for (1) is valid for some other riddle that will be published soon.
How is this explanation dumb? No time parameters were given. The criminal is told to chose a door, but not that he will immediately go through it. Nor was he given a time limit to make the decision. The criminal was never told if the psycho has bullets, only a gun. Or what the psycho did to be put in prison. That makes 2 a gamble, but it's possible that the psycho is only a small child, only uses a specific weapon, or isn't capable of killing others. A psychopath can also be persuaded. But also, is this a death penalty? If you pick a door and never come out, 2 is the best answer. 1 is excruciatingly painful, 3 is a slow death over days, 2 is quick and painless. It's all a matter of perspective.
The snail and the wall answer is imprecise. 28 hours is accurate but only if you round to the nearest integer. The actual answer is 28 - X hours where X is the time it takes the snail to drop down a two feet distance after climbing the 3 feet. Only if the time it takes to drop 2 feet after climbing 3 feet is zero will the answer be 28 hours exactly. If, fairly reasonably, the snail takes less than 30 minutes to drop 2 feet then rounding to the nearest integer will give 28 hours.
@@priyankarawat8220 Then it should be '-102' not positive. "-102" and "1" have oppoite operators when they are on different sides, they can't still have different operators on the same side
well actually 5 can also be the answer of the 1,2,3,4,5,R riddle. If we add the 1 with the diagonally opposite 4 we get 5 and is we add the 2 with diagonally opposite 3 we get 5
The snail will take less than 28 full hours because part of each hour is required to fall back 2 feet. Therefore, it will take the snail 27+hrs but not 28.
