if you catch up with the blue lock manga, you will see that FROM THE VERY BEGINNING Reo is such an important character for discovering Nagi's genius. Imagine if Reo hadnt discovered Nagi and forced him to play soccer. Think of all of Nagi's talents wasted because no one discovered him. But Reo did. manga readers know what i'm talking about. Reo deserves so much more credit than he's given. it literally jsut clicked for me watching your reaction!!
I think Rin would still be better than Nagi. Rin is what happens when a talent like Nagi finds a passion for the game. Rin also had a perfect role-model ahead of him in Sae.
Rin is objectively less talented than Nagi though. Just the fact Rin has always been playing yet Nagi Who had been playing for less than a year could SOMEWHAT scale to him says quite alot
The author came out and said the inspiration for certain characters actually: Nagi - Bergkamp Bachira - Ronaldinho (thought I’d be Neymar) Barou - Balotelli Isagi - Inzaghi And then there’s other ones like Loki but those are obviously. Great video!
i appreciate your reaction but what bugged me its that y'all talk over some really important scenes in the future I'd try pausing when you have something to say keep it up boys!
Since you watched how they animated the movie, that's why it's quite sad to see the animation of Season 2 since they do have enough bugdet since Episode Nagi was First to released than season 2
And the fact that he literally picked up soccer for like half a year 💀 Like all these other characters were playing since they were like 5 and then we have nagi ...
The Movie's animation is great but keep in mind that it *is* on a Movie's budget. The movie isnt just on par with season 1, its genuinely just better because more budget and general resources are just poured into it and its on an hour and a half showing rather than spread out over 24 or 14 episodes. That being said, season 1's general animation was better than season 2's over the course of its first 12 episodes (the first "cour" or half of it). The second half of season 1 had well known and documented production issues just like season 2 and it actually looked worse than season 2 in general. A big part of the disappointment with season 2 is the high expectations that manga readers who knew how good the u20 match was, and wanted it to have incredibly high standards of animation that would just blow out season 1 in every aspect, which, to be fair, considering that the u20 match is what got Blue Lock enough popularity for it to even get an anime adaptation, is a fair enough expectation. To conclude, i think season 2 has better consistency than even the first half of season 1 in terms of just character art, the drawings themselves, the auras if you go and compare just flat out blow season 1 out of the park, and in terms of how the episodes flow and how they manage the visual energy of the scenes where we are inside Isagi, or anyone else's head, are just more pleasant and dynamic to look at because its not just flat white backgrounds like season 1 anymore. What really shot season 2 in the foot is the fact that too many resources where poured into Nagi's movie, and due to how close season 2 and the movie where in release dates, the production was made essentially a living hell for the animators. Combine that with the fact that the characters drawn in even more detail in season 2 than season 1, in animation terms, it also means they are harder to *actually* animate and move, because you have to pour more detail and time into each drawing, each frame of animation. What this created was a perfect storm where, despite impact frames of the characters and a lot of other things actually being better in season 2 than the first season, the actual lack of proper fluid animation besides specific moments, ended up disappointing most of the manga fanbase because that was the biggest thing that side of the fanbase wanted to see improve, when compared to the first season. Thats kind of the shortest way i can manage of actually explaining this entire negative reaction to season 2 and how the Nagi movie influenced it as well. Anyways keep up the good content guys. You are a really fun duo to watch so dont lose that energy you guys have, it makes your reactions really unique and fun to watch in general.

Reo is the Prodigy and Nagi the Genius.
without Reo Nagi would've just left Blue Lock before the second selection
Bergkamp is a good shout, Chigiri shows Nagi clips of Bergkamp later.

And the fact that he literally picked up soccer for like half a year 💀

Bregkamp is a better shout for nagi, his touch is absolutely incredible as you lot already know
Alright just finished watching now I can tap in
i think at the very end of blue lock, nagi will end up becoming isagi's true rival and not rin
8:13 Nice reaction
Also Bergkamp was a scorer back in is prime days.
