As a Metalhead, I always appreciate musicians who show emotions in their work. Good shit Joyner!
Eminem does that too, Joyner is Good, love the song

One of the few reaction channels that don't just bop their heads for 10 minutes then say thanks for watching lol
i dont even mind that too much cuz i like seeing the reactions on their facial expression
Kxng Tee thought thats exactly what they did most of this video (not a problem they seem to have enjoyed it)
exact reasoning I stopped watching the others. these guys know their shit
These guys are the best
For real
I’ve had this song on replay since it came out, I feel as if this song was also somewhat made to display his writing ability.. the cadences and his flows are insane on this song
Agree with you there, I've always respected Joyner's pen but his over intense aggressive lyric filled songs were always too much for me. This song shows he's able to change up his candence and style to keep me interested in the whole song by giving it more substance. Is there more songs like that in the album ?
andy pandy the whole album is something different so far
This was dangerous. A beat this hard with such amazing production can almost always overshadow an artist. And towards the beginning of the best drop it kinda did. The production was so good that it had me spazzing and not even listening to him until after the second chorus really. And then he went OFF. No fast spittin. Hard emphasis on his words to bring your attention back to him and he ultimately mastered the beat. I think this may be the one to break him out on the radio tbh. Best I've heard from him in terms of replay value
I was gonna mention that. This video really encapsulates the point you’re making - The buildup, the momentum and the explosion really do overshadow those lyrics unless you solely focus on them, which is easier said than done on the first listen. After a couple replays, you start to dial in on the word play and rhyme schemes which adds another layer to the song.
There’s some real hard hitting bars in there which compliment the pulsing beat, which is probably why this is my most played song of the year. I think Joyner is established enough that the beat didn’t take the focus of the song - plus his lyric ability can easily keep up with the sick beat so it works out well. I don’t wanna trash talk Desiigner or Future but their beats go in but not so much their lyrics (Panda/Mask Off), which are good examples seen as Joyner covered them and they only banged more with his lyrical ability.
Joyner is #1 for me right now. Music, lyrics, creativity, story telling and artistic expression. Everything gels brilliantly. Currently the best
Word up bro
Man, this is so progressive! I feel like this song could be considered for so many genres! Wow, the way he built that song and then dropped that beat on us..plus his lyrics and flow were tight, had me head noddin’ ..you can’t not dance to this!!!
Y’all are the best and most smart when it comes to catching and dissecting music with confusing lyrics. Keep it up. Y’all are soo close to a mill
This was a dope reaction. I really loved the intro to the song. It's very unique and executed extremely well. It also makes the drop/transition into the "revenge" part of the song way better. I was glad that they kept the piano when the beat dropped as well.
This song goes so hard! Crazy beat and great intro. If JL not in your top 10 rappers of today, I don't know what hell is going on.
This track is just pure fire ... gonna bump it for a while.
Fr
This song is FIRE!!! You guys hit the nail on the head. Production, beat and Joyner riding that beat like a pro surfer. Great song and I hope there’s more songs like this on the album.
You guys are my favorite two people to review songs and videos. You really go in detail and pay attention to everything. Your critique to taking on these songs without favoritism is bar none the best. Keep the videos coming
Literally was just listening to this song.. and looked to see if you guys had a reaction.. and BOOM! Just uploaded one lmao
Where the aggression in his voice crescendos into the chorus and that beat drops, yeah that gives me chills.
The way he’s releasing the album, it’s called ADHD...so he releases it in increments because someone with ADHD can’t sit and listen to a whole album
Nope he releasing the album in march 100%
ChickenChuck yes but he’s releasing all the songs individually before that. The album is basically just gonna be a collection of singles he’s dropped, not saying that’s bad
@@smeeg848 that means when the album drops he's gonna make double the money off of them. Because people who have most of them are gonna buy the album. Pretty smart if you think about it
@@xtriipx false, there won't even be physical copies...His "sales" will be boosted from all the old streams tho
Nah nah nah he’s saying that bc he completely fucked his relationship with his producer so instead he’s saying “increments” Bc he’s really got nothing done Bc he’s lazy and hasn’t been on the same grind since he got an Em co-sign. It’s pretty sad honestly
I know you guys are staying away from EMS new tracks for your own reasons but you have got to give us your two cents on at least "you gone learn" "Godzilla".
Ciaran Bailey why they staying away 🤔🧐
Yowenis nah ppl too sensitive to there opinions. Just cuz somebody disagrees w sum doesn’t make them a hater 🤷🏽♂️
Godzilla is ass
they won't like godzilla lol. they might like darkness or you gon learn.
Lyrically Little Engine might be one they could appreciate bc of all the double entendres and wordplay. Then again, the beat isn't great and they definitely appreciate a hot beat. 🤷🏾♂️
Edit : yep! 9 minutes in, dude said : "idk what he's talking about, but the beat is fire!"
I get it. I get down with a good beat. But, i prefer lyricism. Unless I'm at the gym. Then I want a crazy beat. I can't front.
I’ve always thought Joyner was an extremely talented rapper but I didn’t feel that he’d made a hit. This is a hit. I’ve replayed this track too many times. And that’s the replay value that he’s been missing imo
I fucks with what you saying but just cus it's a banger and it's a incredible song doesnt make it a hit js
I’m not racist was a hit, lucky you was a hit.
@@hoodiefabo4220 but lucky you isn't Joyner's song
I love was a hit. I think I've replayed it at least 50 times
@@davyjoneslocker4859 Actually, it was, but he gave the royalties to Em so it can be in his Kamikaze album.
I know the stans are annoying but a lot of us want to see you guys take on Eminem's new album. Even if it's just a few songs
GhostlyRipper for sure lol, keep checkin to see if they do but they seem to be the only ones that haven’t
I would rather not have a biased reaction, they can do what they want but there's a reason why they haven't done a single song off the album.
iSaetanic agreed
I wasn't a real fan. At least from what I've listened to so far
@@iSaetanic yeah. They don't like Eminem
I was hoping y’all would react to this, that beat is crazy! Always look forward to y’all’s videos!❤️
You guys are a top tier reaction channel, much love keep it up !
He’s talking to all the people who said he’d never amount to anything. “Revenge is sweet...you gon see”. Also, proving a point that people who have ADHD bounce from thought to thought.
I know my explanation sucks 😔
You ain't Neva lie
Your explanation does not suck. In fact you hit the nail on the head. He's saying that his revenge towards people that doubted him in his life is the music. The money. The success. HIS success. The best revenge there is and it is hella sweet.
I love the realness of these reactions and I can tell y'all really pay attention to the shit you hear. That's refreshing to see. Just like Joyner said in the song, people play it safe and I see reactors doing that shit too. Never criticizing anything in fear of losing some fans but real sees real and I think that's all that should matter. Y'all are about to be my new favorite reaction channel. Keep it 💯
Was waiting for this to pop up in my feed, cant wait to watch
The Em disregard is just over the top for me and goes against the unbiased motto. Worst part is I love ya’ll content so much.
I agree 100 percent...they HATE em
@@Timmy2Dope why do they hate Eminem?
@@Vacurcy if you've seen some of their previous reactions with em(mostly features) they never have anything good to say and its just sarcastic hate
Timmy 2Dope i think i remember them saying good things about the bad meets evil joint Fast Lane and they had good things to say for The Ringer but they critiqued him fairly like everyone else. They just dont like some of his immaturity, i think the main reason they’re avoiding the new em stuff sadly is not because they hate em but because comments like these 🤷♀️
@@brycestorbakken makes since lol
As soon as the beat dropped , I went to download this 😂
React to "You Gon' Learn" or "Darkness", appreciate your guys' work as always
If you catch the Revenge/ADHD intro, the beginning of the song he is wearing a bomb vest... I believe seeing this intro visually really helps to explain the verse.
After seeing the video for this song then watching y’alls reaction it’s crazy how on point y’all were with the themes and messages before seeing what he had in mind while writing this
I haven’t watched you guys in awhile but your professionalism has shown throughout your work. Big props!
this made my playlist. would not have found this without you guys.
I enjoy liistening to Joyner Lucas. This was my first time hearing this exact tune. I feel it has a spot in my Top 20 all time RAP songs after only listening once. That shit was flawless. Very well done. As always, with each video posted on this channel, I enjoyed both of your unbiased assessments of the track. Keep doing the damn thing. Peace
This is 1 of his most solid tracks for sure.
This joint was Crazy🔥🔥🔥
I'm a big Joyner fan, I Rather for someone to review music honestly regardless of what others say. I respect that from you guys👍
Would love to see some reactions from eminem new album honestly
It seems like from a remark on the Caterpillar song that Eminem personally claims copyright. Also when giving their opinion on Em they get flak from a lot of stans so they stay away from it (which sorta makes sense, some Em fans are insufferable)
@@coldfrontx_5962 oh i see , makes sense , well thanks for explaining

The build up to revenge is similar to Meek Mill's intros. 🔥🔥🔥
This song is really meant to be listened to with the music video. It explains everything and really all his videos tie together for this album. Few artists are great at concept albums, but he is on 🔥 with this album.
Check it out!
Stay closing in on that milli. Dope reaction fellas 💯💯
Been patiently waiting on a hip hop reaction for a while now.

Great Review Lost in Vegas 🙌🏻
JID posted a video of you guys on his Instagram story the other day, keep it up!
Nathan B fr?
you guys should react to darkness by Eminem. Give him a chance, not a single corny or juvenile line, its a very good storytelling, royce made the beat. The whole song is a double I won't spoil it though.
I, honestly, don't understand why they won't.
Omega Alpha Probably because George was very critical of Killshot and The Ringer and there were tons of angry comments on the videos.
George’s assessment of Killshot was super hypocritical if you ask me, but it is what it is.
Cus it’s trash
@@IHaveASadderDay Because, of, bias. Those comments saying Em lost it and that Kamikaze/M2BMB was trash are basically how I think these guys feel when they listen to Em, they don't deserve to react to Em, plain and simple.
@@iSaetanic Such a Stan lmao. They're aware Em is an amazing rapper. They're reacting to the song and the substance, delivery, etc. not the artist's ability as a whole itself. You guys don't seem to understand that because damn everyone who doesn't like your favorite artist
Overcomer - Royce da 5'9" ? 🙏🙏🙏
I dont age
@Will Pulera I ain't sure if Royce is slept on though. As much as I love his music of which he expresses in a wise way. Royce has had his time to shine with all the support Em has given him, as well as Kendrick and Sean over the last 15 or so years. I just think that his style isn't for most which is a shame and I don't quite know why because it is underappreciated talent. But that's just how things go sometimes, but his fans can support him 'regardless' of his fame or success.
All we did was slang dope!
You guys have not been trending but im happy to see you guys, liked N subscribed
Love you guys reaction
Love from NJ 💪🏽
Just so y’all know you’re the go to channel for “reactions” for a lot of us, mainly because y’all don’t just “react” to the music, you actually break it down and analyze it. For most of us I’m guessing, even if we are a fan of the artist your analysis is just as interesting and respected whether or not you guys like or dislike the song.
I'm glad you guys appreciate this track so much I've been playing it so much my wife is sick of it. 💯
Appreciate it!!!! Keep it up yall🔥
Best reaction channel by far actual intelligent break downs and critical when necessary rather than pandering to listeners for subs.
If they don’t like Em
Stop pushing them to do it!
They obviously don’t want to be given negative reactions on him, then if they do him and don’t like the album
“Lol you guys suck, haters, unsubbed, bars over your head” shit like that kinda stuff that I seen in other reactors who even lightly criticised Em
Man, you guys are the best at what you do. Love watching your videos, even to songs I don't normally like (I'm one of those Tool/Deftones fans...this one was hot, though). You bring a whole different level of intelligence and care to your critiques. Yall are doing this full time now, right?
it's so funny that you guys posted this cuz i just was searching for a reaction this video from you guys yesterday because i watched some other people react to it hahaha
I wish these guys would do some of MTBMB.
I think the album has so much reactian potential, and i think they would love darkness.
From the couple of reactions of em that I've seen, they don't like the new Eminem i think. That's why they simply ignore all songs by Em
@@farooqyousaf9516 But, if the mass majority want it then give it to them. That's more views, more likes, more support, more subscribers. Supply and demand.
As a metalhead I came across you guys’ chanel. And damn... Loving Gojira and Tool, while giving props to all the greats: gotta give it up to you! I’m a drummer, so rythm has always appealed to me. That’s the reason that I always listen your hiphop videos. Having said that, I feel everything Joyner says... His cadance is so original, I think he could take the crown of (my fellow whitey) Em.
Maaaan. I honestly have been slippin' on watching you guys. So glad this one popped up. This one goes hard. You guys are awesome. Keep em coming!

Joyner really is something else. Thank y’all for the reaction 🔥

Omg last time I saw a vid from you guys you were at 250k and now you're almost at 1m damn good job guys

This track just makes you want to sit with it. Great production. Joyner knows how to become one with production. It's almost as if you take him out, the beat would be incomplete lol. That takes a lot of skill. I'm interested to see if he will have more tracks on the album than what is released.
I think you guys might appreciate Andy Mineo. I recommend the track "Clarity".
I see a Lost in Vegas video. I like it. I’m a simple man.

Was PRAYING yall were gonna check this one out, thanks fam!!
You guys should check out Avelino’s latest song higher power, amazing as always and you guys will have fun deciphering the video also.
one thing i love about this track too is that he sounds groggy--like he really DIDN'T get any fuckin sleep (as he says in his lyrics). and that gruff, cracking, grogginess makes this track bang that much harder. it makes him sound more raw. joyner fuckin nailed this.
What I like about you two, is when you stop to talk about what you’re hearing you have a intellectual conversation about it plus you have some open minds for saying good things about him while having your opinions about what you don’t,

Kevin Ortiz English/African artist, it’s hard to explain his type of music, I would say it’s a mix between: African dance music, UK drill and UK grime. Very talented none the less, and his new album is called Big Conspiracy
Thanks for the content!
Also just in case many of you don't know the full album drops sometime in the middle of March or end of March. And the track that has been released is only half the album..

@@I_ExistIG you talking R.A.'s part or the song as a whole
To your point of his creativity, he included that beginning in his music video for his song ADHD. He’s rapping it with a bomb strapped on his chest and as it gets closer to zero (think when it hits 10 seconds left) that’s when he gets louder. It was a dope visual.
