I was surprised when I first saw the scene with joker because it's a bit dark for a cartoon but at the same time it made me cry so much and definitely adds more to Jason's character
His entire life was shitty....... he grew up in the shit, was on his own and just when he was adopted he was murdered off but his father didn’t even kill his murderer. He was brought back from the dead against his own will only to come back and see his murderer was roaming free and breathing, he was deemed an outcast by everyone and just seeked companionship. From Roy, from Korey, from Artemis, from Bizarro, from the bat family but either way would end up on his own somehow. Over the years he would only go on to endure more pain and more suffering, but still put Gotham first....... put the city he loved and raised him first. He believed in doing what Batman wouldn’t. The criminals that the Batman can’t bully, can’t intimidate, he takes out. The maggots, the rodents, the shitbags the one who the courts won’t put away..... he does. Jason Todd was a true hero and is sacrifice will never be in vein. Truly the most compelling out of the Bat Family.
