“You’ve got a moustache”
“I know”
That’s my favourite bit
I laughed my ass off and couldn`t stop for some five minutes. The actor killed that line, the body movement and all :D
@@antestanic2964 the actor? Come on my son, that’s Paddy Considine. He’s a legend.
@@BlookbugIV I know. ;)
My favorite bit is the fact that Academy Award-winning actor Olivia Colman is in this movie making jokes about having a midnight gobble.
@@cornichon2580 She is a saucy flirt
All hail Detective Sergeant Andrew Wainwright, First of his Name, King of the Andals, Protector of Sandford, and Lord of the Seven Kingdoms.
Morning Aegon
& Balerion’s last rider
That's king of the Andies lol
"Your Grace, you are bleeding!"
"It's alright, Lord Strong. It's just bolognese!"
Lord of the model village.
The fact that this film is so quotable and everyone has different parts of the film as their favourite just shows how good this film is
My favorite is the part when all of it.
"You've got a moustache."
"...I KNOW."
For me, nothing can beat the accent translation scene.
yarp
Mornin' Angle
That time Bilbo Baggins, James Bond, Professor Slughorn, The hound, Queen Elizabeth and King Viserys were in the same movie
Walder Frey too
Both Queen Elizabeths, if you count Cate Blanchette. 😂😂
And don't forget Galadriel and Peter Jackson 😂
Davy Jones let’s not forget
I mean that’s all well and good but how many of them were extras in Straw Dogs? Or a cadaver in Prime Suspect?
"Your dad sells apples Andy."
"And raspberries."
That shit kills me every time 🤣🤣🤣
Viserys was happier as a cop. Had a moustache he knew about and everything
Viserys if he was a Goldcloak.
But... he got... moustache....
@@zizonesol "I know"
All for the greater good
*THE GREATER GOOD
You mean a pornstache?
The bin throw and the "you cheeky fucker" is my absolute favorite scene from any movie ever
The bin making the hollow dong noise making it sound like there is heft to it is ABSOLUTELY 🤌🤌🤌
ruclips.net/video/TmZM3JOVc1k/видео.html&ab_channel=nathpls
"...'cause talkin' to 'em's like an uphill battl- AH FUCK OFF!"
the BEST bit!
I'm particularly fond of the bit where they both move off screen, and then come back on to glare at him again hahaha!
"Everyone and their mum's got guns round here."
"Yeah, who?"
"Farmers"
"Who else?"
"Farmers' mums..."
Later in the movie, Sgt Angel tries to arrest a farmer, who shouts "Mum!", and she pops up over a fence and shoots at Angel.
Also, Mr Webley is a farmer, and he has loads of guns in the "by the power of Grayskull" scene.
That’s what is good about the dialogue in this film; it’s full of details and foreshadowing. Almost nothing is a throwaway line.
@@bmsuperstar1 Funny enough, Mr Webley’s is also a name for a gun company
@@arandomperson5434 Almost every single scene in a first half of a film is a set up for a callback in the second half.
Amazing. I prefer The World's End over the other two films in a trilogy, but I admit this one's probably the best out of three.
Cause its true.....most armed people in the uk
2:46 This is one of the film's greatest gifts to the world.
My favourite part of the whole movie
So glad someone else referenced this bit. I commented this separately but you can see Rafe Spall break just as he disappears behind Paddy Considine!
If you look in the back Rafe is already beginning to crack as he leaves the frame
@@jackknowles5295 there seems to be an echo in here😂
@@LifeOfRy Huh, all the other comments showed up the first time but yours didn't, odd
Viserys doubling back for the double staredown kills me every time 😆😆😆
Especially with the double music sting, genius!
thats him walking away from Princess Rhaenys after he was chosen to be King 🤣
*Smack
HARWEN STRONG WAS FUCKING MURDERED!
Was looking for this comment! 😂 one of my fave parts!
"Don't go being a twat now!"
Paddy Considine's delivery of that line was just PERFECT! 🤣
Agree 100%. Hope he uses the line as king of Westeros
I say that line every day
“I wouldn’t give you the satisfaction”
2:42 that double-back stare always cracks me up. This goofy dude is seriously the king of the seven kingdoms? I love it!
Me too... absolute comedy gold!!! 😂😂😂😂
"...I'll deal with the Trolley Boy..."
better fight than the Hound vs the Mountain
"Ey??"
@@TheHuskynatorMAN95 "Oooooohhhhhhh."
"He shot a crackhead with a Kalashnikov"-King Viserys describing Daemon's war against the Crabfeeder
This is the funniest of the Andy as Viserys quotes.
"Two blokes and a fuck load of cutlery"
Another observation on Daemon and Korlis' wars in the Stepstones
It’s alright Andy, it’s just bolognaise. That line gets me every time 😂
It's the delivery 😂
Is it just me or is the bolognese splash an homage to Aliens when Private Drake gets splashed in the fave with alien acid blood?
5:11 “it’s just Bolognese”
Has to be my favourite bit in a movie
I don’t know why but seeing the Bolognese sauce on Andy’s teeth are just gross.
I love it, but the best bit is when the bin hits Danny in the head 😂
"Not everyone's a murdering psycho path"
- Viserys I Targaryen
HARWEN STRONG WAS FUCKING MURDERED
*Smack
And Lyonel Strong?
Yes.
And Rhea Royce?
Yes.
And Lyman Beesbury?
No, actually.
Really?
Of course he fucking was!
I love that at the end of the day, they’re still some decent blokes that you’d want on your side. Even if they do spend most of the time bustin’ your chops. Plenty of other writers probably would’ve written them off completely and just made them easy dunking material to be shown up or made fools of.
“You wanna be a big copper in a small town? Go fuck up the model village... You want us to look through the entire phone book? Fuck around with Aaron A. Aaronson?”
This is literally the climax of the movie
They also sarcastically joke to Nicholas about how there are more guns in the country than there are in the city and everyone and their mums are packing like farmer's and farmer's mums.
Last half of the film? He takes down a farmer and his mum wielding a shotgun, then he goes on a shootout with the whole village packing heat.
No the climax is that the Aaron A. Aaronson actually appear in the movie :p
"Fuck off up the model village" ***
Bloody hell, that is amazing foreshadowing!!
"Don't be childish."
"SKIDMARKS!"
"Now who's being childish"
Peak comedy.
Hard to believe one of these goofs plays such a serious character like King Viserys.
"I was extremely shocked when I looked at my watch and discovered that I should be in the pub"
Fucking relatable.
I say this almost every day!
"Skid marks"
"Now who's being childish"
Hahaha
“Ahh he’s got shorts on”
What does that mean?
The other Andy was actually wearing shorts and it was just a stupid justification in order not to investigate, as they loved to do!!!
only just now realised that if you take the the wright out of the Andy's names, they're wain-car(wanker)
*(w)Right wanker(s)
only just now realised that if you remove the -all out of your name it becomes Cum.
That is actually amazing
Edgar Wright still hiding gems in this movie after all these years
Sorry to spoil the fun but it would actually be wain-cart instead of wain-car…🙃
The talent in that cast is off the chain. If you were to remake this today and brought the entire cast back, the budget would quadruple.
'Now who's being childish?' cracks me up every time. First of his name, King of the Andals, Protector of the countryside and Lord of the Bolognese.
The 'skid marks' bit is brilliant with Simon Pegg delivering his lines with a completely straight face with Rafe Spall sniggering in the background, plus it taps into our childish sense of humour. Genius!
Pipe down, biggum
Sniggering. Best way to get past RUclips censors
I love how their names mean the same thing, a wright is someone who builds and a wain is an archaic term for a cart, so its detective cart builder and cart builder.
I always thought there's another joke that it's close to 'Won't Write, and Can't Write'... coz of their incompetency... Hahahhaa!
Interestingly, they're two of the few characters in Sandford without surnames that end in _'er'._
All Sandford surnames in Hot Fuzz are based on those indicating an occupation.
And all the people in the NWA has a name that ends in -er; skinner, fowler, shooter, tiller, treacher etc. Except for Butterman of course.
They're right wankers, Wright WainCart :)
This film had so many superstars. You have a King (Paddy), a Queen (Olivia), a Lord (Walder Frey played by David Bradley), James Bond, Sandor Clegane, Bilbo Baggins, Lady Galadriel (well, her voice anyways), Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, etc.
Like a who's who of British acting. And that's just like 8 of them. The entire cast was incredible.
As well as Horace Slughorn, Davy Jones and Alan Partridge
@@beatlemaniac You forgot Robert McCall
that's it! This is the better Knives Out!
Rafe played Atticus Finch on the West End too.
2:45 is by far the greatest moment in film history
Sooooo good!!! 😂😂😂
“ISSALROIGHT ANDEE ITS JOST BOLEENAISE”
Is my favourite line in this entire movie.
absolute class these 2 - 'it's just bolognese' creases me everytime lol
I love Paddy's recent streak of dramatic roles. Good on him.
It's St. Paddy's Year.
the swear box .... I viewed the whole thing recently and only for the first time noticed the tariffs on the swear box .... nearly died laughing
Honestly, as much as they go on like that... Tim Messenger wouldn't have been a star in a specific movie who goes by the next "Pyramid Head!"
Love how cunt is the only word not censorsed
"Murder, murder, murder. Change the f*****g record!" I love this line so much. 😂😂
3:19 I love how he says it with a straight face.
COURSE HE FUCKING WAS!!
@@The-Lone-Ranger-90THANK YOU DANNY!
Best line: “want to be a big cop in a small town, f*ck off to the model village”. 😂😂😂
It's pouring down rain and they both still have their aviators on lol
Love the lines right after hes introduced to them
Frank: "Can you guess why we call them the Andy's?"
Angel: "They're both called Andy?"
Frank: "They said you were good."
Danny: "And because talking to thems an uphill struggle innit dad."
Trash can is lobbed at Danny's head
"Fuck off!!!" 😂
And just Ten years later while watching Olivia Coleman in "The Favourite" with Rachel Weisz I burst out laughing during an 'intimate' scene as in the back of my brain I hear the line "nothing like a bit of girl on girl!"
“It’s alright Andy! It’s just Bolognaise!” will never not make me laugh😂😂
The "Nothing like a bit o' girl on girl" bit gets me every time man 😂😂
The amount of top British talent in this film is unreal.
So many classic lines I can't help repeating when I'm watching
"You've got a mustache"
**"I know!"**
I work at a really nice Italian restaurant, and the butcher fight is all I think about when I see or someone mentions the Bolognaise.
These two are part of the reason why Hot Fuzz is *easily* the best of the Cornetto Trilogy.
Im more of a worlds end kinda bloke
@@cloudsombrero I love the premise of that movie. The pub crawl reunion Unimed by aliens. Plus the utterly mental ending. Just fantastic
Careful, you'll start a holy war
Right?
My a fucking mile and I LOVE the other two.
I watch Hot Fuzz to cool down the heavy moments of the House of the Dragons 😂😂😂 okay Detective Viserys you're cool 🤣
This proves that everyone working in the police department minus the leader was actually incompetent not malicious which is nice 😁😁👍
And not just that, they just needed a boot up their bum and could step up if needed.
And the security tape guy
Hamlin's razor.
OMG I love this movie, and lost count of how many times Ive watched it, but this is the first time I realized BOTH Bill Baileys are at the table writing up the paper work
And I only now just saw it
Lololol
i love the random throwing of the metal bin while they were happily laughing together
I love how this somehow basically summarizes the whole movie in less than seven minutes.
I love how this film is so quotable and brilliant in every way…and includes Olivia Coleman, one of the greatest actresses of our generation
Check out early Olivia Coleman in “Green Wing.” She is absolute comedy gold as a ding-bat hospital admin worker. I was thrilled when she showed up in Hot Fuzz and has turned out amazing performances over the years.
This film is a celebration of British comedy actors
the way she says ''murder'' its so absurd
You think King Viserys was incredibly shocked to look at his watch and discovered he should be at the pub?
Not but Daemon was
The way he says “I know” is so hysterical
Chucking a bin at someone's head and being called a cheeky fucker is the most English thing
I love the sound mixing in Hot Fuzz - there’s so many SFX in the background that adds so much to the joke
Edgar's signature
There is not a better action comedy out there and I'll die on that hill. Rush Hour, True Lies, tropic thunder, bad boys and the list goes on. These are literal titans in the genre but what they did with star power and budget Hot Fuzz did with perfectly casting their comedic roles to people that may as well be those characters as they aren't recognizable to the average movie goer past Frost and Pegg (plus Dalton of course) and by writing it as the ultimate homage to over the top Hollywood action flicks
I did like that the scene where he's being transferred had Hollywood (but still English) stars in it for a hot minute and then they go away immediately.
You ain't on that hill alone mate
I'd guess that Olivia Coleman is a Hollywood "name" now, after winning her Oscar.
I can't watch House of the Dragon without this shit popping in my head.
0:54 That subtle two fingers after he says "want us to go through the whole phone book" just absolutely gets me
Also at 2:46 you can see Andy at the back just as he's about to go out of frame absolutely piss himself laughing lmao
Just a smirk, really
@@engasal He's an actor so he can't exactly burst out laughing on camera in the scene, can he? Use a bit of imagination man 😂
That's so funny, never noticed him starting to grin, despite that being one of my favourite moments, well spotted!
Paddy Considine is one of the most underrated actors this country has ever produced. He lends his hand to comedy as deftly as he does to psychological thrillers (Dead man's shoes).
The guy deserves the same international recognition as Stephen Graham, also one of the greatest actors to come from these shores.
5:26 When my college roommate and I buy 20 sets of silverware for our apartment
First Lurch, now Andy Wainwright is a serious character on Game of Thrones.
Who's next? Doris Thatcher gonna be a Queen of the Marshes or summat?
She's already won an Oscar from The Favourite
The Father made me cry tho
3:24 When King Viserys Targaryen is asked what the most popular hobby in Westeros is 😂
fucking legendary, gets me every time with the double back. 2:38
Everytime I look at King Viserys, all I'll see is Detective Wainwright lol
Love the fact hat Wainwright became the King of the Seven Kingdoms while Doris became three generations of the Queen of England.
"You know there are more guns in the country then there are in the city?"
As a farmer lad I can confirm this
Best comedy I've ever scene XD like srsly my face was hurting throughout the movie because I was laughing so hard. I can't remember the last time a movie made me laugh so much
I wanna erase my memory and rewatch it. I've seen it too many times
Missed the church fare bit where the detectives say wanker under their breath's.
Cracks me up 😂🤣
"Prick"...
"Wankerrrr"....
This movie has perfect dialogue. Almost every. single. line. is either a setup or a payoff or both.
Everybody and their mums are packing around here.
Like who?
Farmers.
Who else?
Farmer's Mums...
Probably the best line of the movie.
Danny: your dad sells apples, Andy
Andy: and raspberries
This gets me everytime
This movie is such an underrated masterpiece 🤣🤣🤣
3:41 always cracks me up lol
Just realized the name joke
Wainwright = Wagon maker
Cartwright = Cart maker
Either the town had two competing at the same trade, or there was a split in the family at some point and they are distantly related.
2:45 one of the best scenes in cinema
THATS FOOKING KING VISERYS
"I have no intentions of falling into anyones grave" this movie is a masterclass in foreshadowing
The whole film is at the very start the receptionist says "fascist" which is part of her crossword and he says "hag" for her crossword. When they have a shootout the same words are said to eachother. There's compilations of the mass amounts of foreshadowing in the film
King Andy Wainwright First of his Name Lord of Wankers and the Plastered Men
Genius! hahahaha
Paddy Is the BRYAN CRANSTON of the UK… it will be official with his Emmy win next year.
I love how this show the mentality of small towns 😂
"Skidmarks!"
"Now who's being childish.."
Best line from the film 😂
Aaron A Aaronson is my favourite call-back in the film
The Andys! Thanks to this film and another movie he's in with Simon Pegg, I've come to be a bit of a fan of Paddy Considine. To think of how he evolves from Detective Wainwright into King Viserys on House of the Dragon. He seems to have a good grasp of comedy as well as how to pull off a serious role. And boy does he get some great close-ups to show off his talent for his exceptional facial expressions that convey more without dialogue.
5:14 I never noticed, the fucking meat counter has bulletproof glass apparently but then is later shattered by shopping carts hahaha
Became a fan of Paddy because of his role as King Viserys, his acting here is extremely funny! What a range! Can’t wait to see more of his work.
All of Wright's movies have had layers but Hot Fuzz is a absolute masterclass.
Viserys Targaryen had a lively youth.
3:24-3:28 Viserys lecturing his family to stop fighting and sit down
"Did you find anything?"
"Yes, I was extremely shocked when I looked at my watch and discovered that I should be in the pub"
"Did you read his articles?"
"If you want to wade through every copy of the Sandford bloody Citizen, be our guest"
"It’s your job isn’t it? Detect!"
I love the mental image of two detectives sitting around all day doing fuck all.
Thank you for not just doing the moments they’re literally onscreen like most people do.
i love how pretty much everything they say is foreshadowing, even though these two are some of the only characters that werent in on it
"A-also, cuz' talking to thems an uphill struggle, innit' dad?"
"It's alright, Andy! It's just bolognese!" My fav quote from this awesome movie
