Agree with what others have said - this was fantastic. I'm a total beginner, and wish I could take your course! Really appreciate how example-based this was + how often you were explaining while the music was playing. Felt really accessible to me. Thanks!
Super sick! Up to about 4 minutes I was gonna say this is a very similar device to Polar in Reason, but it also crosses over into granular territory. I was actually sort of unimpressed by PitchLoop89 when I first tried it but this video has definitely inspired me to go take another look. Thanks!
What a fun tool! This seems like a great application of the random macro feature, and a nice way to get lots of cool glitchy sounds to resample. I also appreciate the clarity of your video, mouse pointing very intentionally to the features you are talking about
I always end up doing stuf like this in Ableton and then I'm wondering 'is this completely waisting my time or am I having fun?' Now I know there is someone else doing this and being passionate about it I feel relieved: for sure now, I'm having fun!
I’m a big fan of giving yourself time to create with no pressure to “produce.” Creatives need time to explore with no rules or goal. in the middle of all that experimentation is where the magic happens! You might not use these crazy sounds in a song today, but if you save and “harvest” your tinkering, you might find the perfect use for them along the road. Have fun exploring!
Playing the pitch knob, hey like it. Will try linking that to the push2 8x8 note buttons. Big fan of PitchLoop89, often the effect signal is so far removed from the dry signal, you can hardly recognise it, all part of the fun.
Great explanation. I love that you show creative examples instead of explaining everything. I would be nice with a follow up video though. One that explains the functions that you did not touch here.
Hi there! You'll need to log in to your Ableton account and then go to "packs" to download it. Easiest way to find it is to click on the packs subcategory for M4L devices. If you still have trouble finding it, let me know. Hope that helps!
A couple of different options. This device is an audio effect, and in this demo I've dropped it on an audio track. If you wanted to "render" the processing to audio, you have a couple of options. You can right click and then freeze, then flatten the track - this will get rid of the Pitchloop device and instead render all of the processing straight into the track. The other option would be to route the audio from the output of that track to the input of another audio track, then hit record and "print"/record the audio in real time. Does that make sense?
I just love those sounds your squeezing out of this. Very inspiring! :)
Thank you!!

Ben, thanks so much! That means a lot.

Ooh, I haven't checked that out yet in Reason, I will have to do so. Glad you were inspired!

Thanks so much for the feedback!
In contrast to some other explanations on YT, you explained it very well.
Thanks so much, that means a lot!

I just discovered this video and it‘s brilliant! It‘s very pleasing to listen to you and extraordinarily inspiring, thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
great demonstration!
Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time explaining this so well! And I know what it means to get lost. Just got a similar case with Emit ;) Great channel!
Thanks!!
Great vid, love your experimental sound design approach once again !
Very practical and inspiring 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to comment - means a lot!
Love to you in texas.
Thank you!
Fantastic, thank you!
you’re welcome, Justin!
Great demo of the device! Thank you =)
you're welcome!

@@mistyjones By the way that pitchloop thing is pretty usefull and awesome!

agreed!!
cool stuff
thanks!
Oh nice, I had heard of that hardware box before, but didn't know about the connection.
Yeah, oil history behind it!
Such a good tutorial, glad I found it! Thanks Misty subscribed!
You are welcome, and thank you!
Random button on macros is a game changer, you’re so right
right?!?!? so much fun.
Nice!
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback!
Is there any way to control the Pitch Knob (or even a Macro Knob in general) via Midi Notes? So you could actually play it like an instrument?
I’ll investigate! possible that someone has come up with a M4L device that makes that possible
Awesome walkthrough!
Thank you!
Flume would have a ball with this.
Ahhhh I love Flume!
I have Live 11 Suite and I can't find it! It's not mentioned in the manual and I can't find it searching my copy of Live 11. Are you sure it exists?

I love echo until I use too many of them and the cpu goes to 80% :D
🤣
how can you record the audio the device makes??
