My favourite piston engined aircraft of all time. Fast, deadly and great looking. Such a beautiful noise from the engine, even if it wasn't the Centaurus. And what a stunning colour scheme

My friend and I have long-running argument about the best sounding piston engine plane of all time - he says P-47, but we know it's the Sea Fury don't we.

Often ranked as being the best piston-driven fighter ever built, alongside the F8F Bearcat.
I wish this one had the Centaurus engine, but it's great that Sea Furies still fly.

I'm not a huge fan of smoke systems on warbirds, however I think I like this better than the wingtip setup on the Sanders sea fury's.

Yeah I have to disagree I prefer the wingtip smoke to this one but I rather they didn't have any tbh, Unless its a Buchon that's done in its Battle Of Britain Film colours and is only used when pretended to get shot.

That doesn't sound like a Centuarus radial...? Royal Navy's Historic flight had a couple of fliers back in the late 80's and they sounded way better. Has someone stuck a boat anchor of a yank radial in this?
