One of the best matches I have ever seen in terms of consistent rallying . Each point goes a while sometimes I get bored when its almost always third ball attacks or short rallies
@@peterwind8101 yes it depends on what you like. Yes true table tennis fans love all that however people in general like to see lengthy rallies. They are exciting. Sometime third ba attacks are great to watch yet personally I hate the wait between points and it gets a bit tedious. Each to their own . There will be some who prefer rallies others that don't and others in between.
they both have stepped up their game, but the young Chinese players upped their game by a giant leap too. FZD and Yan an going crazy I hope these guys can keep up cause I love watching players like samsonov, boll mizutani etc.
Congrats to dima. After losing to fzd in last German final, he finally won the home land game. But where has dima's brutal backhand gone? He is now even more passive than mizutani.
One of the most straining matches for the players because of the continuous long rallies. The shots in the rallies are of lesser quality than a Chinese vs chinese rally because the shot quality of chinese players is much higher than those of the rest of the world. They have much more spin and speed. The main reason may be Chinese training and footwork but another main reason is the rubber. DHS Hurricane and Skyline rubbers have much more spin than Butterfly Tenergy (which is used by both players here). So the rest of the world is far behind the Chinese. See the 2010 German Open final between Wang Hao and Ma Long ( German Open: Wang Hao-Ma Long ) and judge for yourself on the level of the game and quality of shots. However this match is one of the best contests between the players that I have seen. Very good offensive game from both.
jun's backhand is just really weak in modern standard, i remember he improved it quite a lot last year, but in this open, the bh can mostly just block in close range. It is so comfortable for dimitrij to attack. congratz to dimitrij! thanks for sharing
I think you have just given the only reason why Jun lost. His backhand was not quite good enough to win a point when dima played repeatedly to his backhand.
Some people are sweaters more than others. When I was younger I used to never sweat to the point I would soak my shirt not even if I was really playing with all my energy and power. Some people don't seat easily .
Wow, Mizulucky out-lucked? That's almost impossible, but if it's Oucharov, no chance of luck because of his grunting. Both hacked each other with some serious lucky netters at crucial moments, no matter how subtle.
Овчаров играет лудьше как минимум по той причине что он взял бронзу на олимпиаде, а Мизутани нет. И на других турнирах Овчаров лудьше играет против игроков китайской сборной чем Мизутани.
That's probably because the Chinese players play very offensively which results in less long rallies. I was in a tt club in china, and match rule was that, we must start attacking before the 3rd round, or we will be judged to lose the point.
@@xingnanzav I think it is also because Chinese top players are better in every technical and physical aspects. The techniques are mostly clean, and everything goes according to the plan of one of the players. However, when watching players like Boll or Mizutani (or even Xu Xin, the exception), you will see more "adapted" shots, like bow balls or hand switch, that makes the game less foreseeable.
one of the best match i have ever seen, thanks the quality:)
Hey that's what i commented then I saw your comment. Good to know my view is endorsed by others and that I am not the only one to think that

What are you even talking about. 3rd ball attacks and short rallies are beautiful as hell, too.

a genuine great game, ovtcha deserves the win, he's really good, and proved him in the world cup too
I also think this is one of the best matches I've ever seen, and I have seen many. Awesome quality also!
1:49 every table tennis player had this moment ;)
And it completely took him out of the set lol
格上になってしまったオフチャロフ相手に完全アウェーでここまで戦える時点で
相当水谷も強くなってますね
しかしオフチャロフもどこまで伸びるんだか
中国人以外同士の戦いでここまでのゲームが見れたのはうれしいです
Dear ITTF, thanks for the video quality. German Open has the best vid quality so far. I hope U can keep this going
Wow absolutely incredible match so many great rallies.
The last Point is incredible!
ОЧЕНЬ КРАСИВО И ТАЛАНТЛИВО! ПРИЯТНО СМОТРЕТЬ!
Superb Quality!
What's Mizutani and Dima Ovtcharov eating? OMG that match was insane!
Hotdogs and coca cola the food of champions and ice cream for desert. Its the performance enhancing drugs that is helping them more than the food
This is amazing thank you ttCountance for the video
I love the game so much! It must be nice to control the ball and blend into the game.
Great match, thanks for the upload!
What was Mizutani playing there? Holy shit o.O Very intense match, thx for uploading in such a nice quality!
one of the greatest games i have seen just wow
ein unglaublich gutes Spiel. Spannung pur. Tischtennisfreude pur:)
Greatest German Open I have ever seen! :D
what a final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!!!
they both have stepped up their game, but the young Chinese players upped their game by a giant leap too. FZD and Yan an going crazy I hope these guys can keep up cause I love watching players like samsonov, boll mizutani etc.
Nice video. Could you upload more TT videos? Keep up with the great work! Thanks!
Congrats to dima. After losing to fzd in last German final, he finally won the home land game. But where has dima's brutal backhand gone? He is now even more passive than mizutani.
What a absolut fantastic Match ???????????????????
THIS is a great match of TT !!
Last point, amazing!!!
Ovtcharov has really improved his rally game.
awesome match!! very unpredictable!!

Sehr stark Dima
What a match!
Amazing defense by Dima on match point. If he lost that point then it will probably Jun's win.
Who deserved more to win in your opinion guys?
Ovtcharov
Mizutani
Both
Nice anwsers
Damn...that felt like a barfight!
buen juego......... final de pelicula.
excellent play ever, only one thing lacking in here- why 5 series game only. i cant see even shirt sweat.

The power of Mizutani is not enough to beat Ovtcharov. His power fall a lot in last two set.
does somebody know why ovtcharov switches rubber when he's smashing?
Chinese players in special do it because the backhand rubber is softer than the forehand rubber and it gives more control in smashes
Okay... But dima is not chinese... So, is he using a chinese rubber?
i don't think so, but probably he does it because of the same reason...it's something to do with the control and speed of the backhand rubber
Whats happened to the japanese coaches?? They used to be so engaged..
amazing rallies (y)
1:49 😂feel bad for Dima
Nice
Tables and shooting angle are the things that distinguish the German open from others, but this time, no.
great Game. Very spectacular reallys
The match could've gone either way. They were equally matched.
Crazy game :)
Dima On Fire
nice game...
Good game, mizutani could however be less on the defensive side
Yes,as soon as he gets in the defensive mode he seems to weaken he should concentrate on ALL OUT ATTACK
Lol 8 years ago mate
1:47 LMAO
I wish female players could celebrate as Ovtcharov when they won.
Where are the chinese players?
Super rallys
Shi*, was hoping Mizutani would take this one down, but he blundered at the end. Good job, Ovtcharov, nevertheless.
ovtcharov twiddle his racket while smashing looks like he learn from chinese player a lot
2:49 !!
Dang it:-(
service ovtcharov 3:57 lol

dady cool
Table Tennis looks more entertaining without Chinese
