I just beat it myself yesterday. I loved the game. I have played every final fantasy released in America starting with the first on the NES!!!! This is definitely in my top 3 Final Fantasy's. The story is amazing. I very much enjoy how they made every conversation a cutscene making it cutscene heavy, Even more so than my other favorite game Witcher 3. The combat style is intense and very similar to the Devil May Cry series. I maxed out all the eikon abilities and completed the hunt board. I did every side quest available like the completionist I am. I did start new game plus. I'm eager to play it through. The list of things the video mentions that were lacking is accurate but the story is so amazing It allows me to overlook a few minor discrepancies such as the ones mentioned in the video. Amazing game and a great review, thank you...
Thanks for watching I appreciate it! As I said in the video, I'm going to be replaying next year to get the platinum and perhaps when I do that and I know what to expect from the game I will like it a lot more then initially! Fingers crossed for DLC
So far I'm really enjoying but there is a part of me that's disappointed. The game feels rather limited in scope when it comes to exploring the world and the sidequest honestly suck in my opinion. Some quests are just running from one NPC to the another and back. Luckily the hunts are pretty cool. The open zones are largely empty and I don't like how they are not connected to eachother but bring you straight to the map screen if you run outside of bounds.
Yeah, I definitely feel you on the fact that exploring is rather pointless. As for the side quests I simply appreciated them for their world building and character development, they definitely get better as the story progresses. Thanks for watching!

I am very happy with this game but I am sad that SE wasn't satisfied with the sales.
I think the OST for this game is amazing.
