This figure is 99.9999% perfect OMHO. Super7 did an outstanding job! And they listen. They tried improving the weapons by making them more rigid but not brittle or fragile it seems.

I have the neca movie turtles, probably my favourite pieces in my entire collection.. I warned either a cartoon or og toy version and I think im going to go with these over the cartoon neca versions. Something about these I just adore.

I have a question for you conserning the Super7 TMNT figures, and the 4 turtles especially. I see that your Leonardo have silver painted buckles on his belt, but mine has not. I’ve also seen reviews of the other brothers, and I’ve seen them have silver painted buckles on their belts too, and especially the ring around the letter on their buckles. The only one of mine that have silver painted buckles and the ring around the letter, is my Raphael (variant). All of the others just have plain black belts. The letters in their buckles are painted though. So my question is this. Since I got mine about a year after their initial releases it is fair to think that I may have a second release or something. Is there any way to find out on the boxes which release versions I might have? If you got the time, could you please check out my Leonardo review. He was the last of the brothers that I reviewed, so I have them all side by side for a comparison in that video. That way you’ll see what Im talking about. In Leonardos review I have skipped on bits like the articulation, sculpt and various details that is shared between all four turtles figures, just to focus on the things thats unique to Leonardo, as well as a comparison between the four turtles. I've been thinking about giving my vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures that have been released from Playmates Toys during the late 1980s and early 1990s a refurbishement with similar paint variants that were used for the Super7 Ultimates figures that have been released so far. I wish the people who worked for Playmates Toys during the 1980s had also included additional accessories with the figures of the Turtles such as the communicator (opened) and a slice of pizza.
Really looking forward to getting this. Mine is on preorder from Big Bad, so I’ll have to wait a bit longer, but seeing this review makes me satisfied with my purchase already. I’d have liked to see MAYBE one more pair of swords, the way Raph came with dull, bright, and unpainted sais. But the swords he has do look nice, and if the weapons are a little more sturdy, that’s good to hear. Great look at this figure!
I found my vintage Leo in great shape but with no accessories. Will the weapons on the rack of this Super7 fit into the hands of the original vintage ones?
2021 will be the real test. It's literally been 2 waves in 5ish months this year. W1 was August, W2 is already shipping from S7, these weren't "early" samples really.
Since I missed out on Ralph and Leo have increased in price, I am having a hard time to justify getting the rest of the Turtles. If Super7 announce Usagi Yojimbo, I am definitely getting it.
Was hoping to get a third pair of swords. Not a fan of the silver-painted ones, went with generic silver plastic ones for Ralph. Wish they had some consistency for the line.
Yeah man had to start with the best Turtle! Leo has always been a favorite of mine too. I'm so glad the put him in wave 2 and I can't wait to get him in hand along with the other figures! I really like the NECA Turtles but I think the Super 7 Turtles are the best out right now.
Wow I'm displaying my Leonardo with the angry looking alternative head. I'm not keen on that original look head even though that's how my figure used to look like. Video liked!
Wish the articulation was better, those elbow joints just aren’t good enough, would’ve been a pretty easy buy otherwise. As is though, nah, I’ll keep an eye on the line, but if it stays at this level of articulation I’ll probably never get any.
My ONLY gripe with this figure is that the katanas are not "G1"! If Super7 are going with this retro vibe then Leo's swords should be straight in all honesty....
That belt is an issue for me. Why would they go and change something that looked great in wave one just to be even further from the source material? Not only that but now there will be that glaring difference between turtles when posed together 😑 Still an excellent figure, though! Thanks for the review.
@@robd1329 Ha, ha! Yeah... I should have ordered directly from Super7 this time. I got wave 1 from BBTS like two months after everyone else already had it. That might have been because of COVID delays, so hopefully it won't be as bad this time!

The extra head sculpts are really reminding me of the 2003 Ninja Turtles cartoon and I LOVE IT!

I was hoping they'd re-engineer the hips on the turtles. Raph scares me with that little pin connecting things.
