    Dear Court,
First i want to say thank you so much for all your hard work and reviews, i think you are doing a lot for the whole e-bike community and people around the world.
I have worked with bikes since childhood (over 25 years now), developed my own bike brand and own my own bike shop in south Sweden.
Through all these years i have literally repaired thousands and thousands of bikes.
Still i learn and enjoy watching your reviews and videos that i find full of knowledge and passion... Thank you.
I just have one comment and it disturbs me because it's misinformation.
The rim eyelets don't make the wheel stronger!!
I know that it comes little bit as a shock.
To understand this, we have to first know more about what makes the bike wheel strong.
Of Course good quality spokes, nipples and rim combined together can make a good strong wheel.
But tension is the a key factor here.
Even if you have the best components but not tensioned the spokes enough and very well (more than 1200 nm)
The chances that the spoke head will play and vibrate inside the spoke holes in the hub, and eventually break even the best spoke on the market.
This is not of a big problem if the rider don't weighs more than approximately 90 kg.
It's when the rider weighs 90, or 100 or 110 and more, it's when this becomes very important.
Eyelets will break when a spoke is tightened to those high level of tension.
A good ebike rim can take around 1500 nm of spoke tension.
And spokes can take way more than that.
The only weak link here is the eyelets.
Then why do manufacturers use it?
    1) Maybe their target customers are not over 90 kg
    2) Actually eyelets looks better, makes the rim look more professional.
    3) The spoke nipple turn easier when eyelets are used.
    4) Protect the rim (but it actually don't need protection)
    5) Most wheels are machine build in the factory and those machines can anyway not reach good high spoke tension.
    6) No real knowledge
I am not the only one that don't like rim eyelets.
Even the wheel builder legend Gerd Schraner who wrote the book - "The Art of Wheel Building" advice to use rims without eyelets.
Because also once the eyelet breaks, then you have a big whole in the rim and it becomes useless.
Just some thoughts and feedbacks from the secrets behind correct wheel building.
    Best regards
    Kareem M

That double battery design is really interesting. They look so well made too.

Yeah, Riese & Müller makes some of the best engineered electric bikes I have tested, here's the double-battery full suspension Delite that was in the background electricbikereview.com/riese-muller/delite-gt-nuvinci-hs/

Nice to see that you mention the frame flex of the step through design, especially being a high speed model.
Any plans to review the Riese & Muller Culture? Would be interesting to see how much the rear mounted battery affects things.

On this model I feel like the flex is minimized... but you end up with a very heavy bike. It's not perfect but feels much safer than most of the other wave frames that aren't high-speed. As for the R&M Culture, maybe?! I haven't seen it at any shops in the US yet but I'll keep an eye out ;)

@26:58 rear suspension-in-action shot ! Court, that's so good, you may wish to include that view from now on.

I WANT to see more advanced engineering with the rear of bikes. I think a lot of manufacturers are missing an opportunity at new appearances and the ability to be more diverse with carrying gear. the Abus Granite? huge plus, the best lock I've ever owned. also, I want to see more modern, integrated designs with the computers. rectangle just doesn't get it with the newer fluid frames. c'mon, its only plastic, give them some soul. thanks Court-

Great feedback, it's neat to see some variety in frame designs and I appreciate how purposeful this one is... it's not just different for the sake of it, it has a purpose and works well :)

The Nuvinci is 'sticky' when pedalling compared to a Nexus, for example. I feel like more power is wasted, as if I had a under-inflated rear tire, or a very dry and stiff chain. One has to work harder to get rid of traditionnal gear change on bikes, but on an e-bike, not having to bother with a derailleur is a blessing. The only drawback is you can't turn the pedals backwards to lube the chain because of the freewheel on the electric engine.

That's correct, with a lot of the mid-drive systems you can't move the chain or belt when pedaling backward, it just freewheels at the spindle (and usually spins faster). You sometimes can manually turn the rear hub backward and get the chain or belt to go. I usually lean the bike up onto the kickstand and just pedal forward to lube the chain

The Delite has bottles but the Homage did not, I wish they would put them near the head tube, seems like they could use the same design? electricbikereview.com/riese-muller/delite-gt-nuvinci-hs/ maybe they could be added aftermarket?
