    Audi cars if maintained well can really last a long time, but here in India, the dealerships are thugs, they just loot the customers in the name of serving. My Friends in Russia prefer Audi over other luxury cars because of its quattro technology

    Everyone wants Audi or Mercedes, but when you look at their maintenance costs, everyone starts panicking.
    Seedhi si baat hai, yah toh bade shauk mat paalo, ya Sher palna h toh kharcha toh hoga.
    I am happy with my maruti.

    I drive a 2009 Audi A4 3.2 v6, I agree with the owner, but bahar bhi bohot mechanics lutne ke liye hi bethe hain, it's hard to find a very problem solving focused mechanic for these cars
    P.s:- this is my personal experience

    One of my friend used to work in Audi service centre. He told me many such tales.
    It's a daily job for Audi servicemen to loot the customer and makes bill in laks

    There r many cases in bangalore city. Two wheeler also same things, but amount less.

    There are some class of people irrespective of money they have should stick to basic cars. Hydro locking of luxury cars is not a new problem. The air intakes of these cars are fairly low set, these suck up the water if they happen to be driven through them. The brands send out SMSes during rainy season warning owners about it. New cars come with warranty and shield packages that cover most issues. My annual BMW 3GT service bill was just a little more than 2,500 under the full service package, without which it would have been 65,000. As the car ages the service bills also shoot up to almost 5 lakhs in annual service cost. If you are buying used then one should research all this before getting into it and not just jump into it for the lure of cut price luxury.

    Am using an A4 since 2014.. working absolutely great and i service and repair it at the local garage,.... The car works a charm.. only issue is with such dealers.. that these cars owners face an issue..

    Second hand kharidi hai kya ? Dear you should know except for Range Rover all Luxury car intakes are at the level of the wheel centre. You should not drive it in water-logged areas. It has got an engine & gear hydrostatic locks which gets activated by water. Never crank the engine once it gets switched off automatically.

    German car companies are thieves. I had a similar issue with my skoda Laura l&k .. most parts on my Skoda laura are audi a4 parts.( both skoda and audi is owned by Volkswagen group)..Skoda were quoting me 1.5 lacs for replacing the turbocharger and for something related with the engine. But I smelled that they were probably looting me.. so I went to a local garage and got my car fixed in 40k.. got an aftermarket turbocharger and new starter motor of audi a4 installed because skoda had stopped making and importing skoda Laura's parts. German companies loot their customers because they know that the customer is rich and probably won't hesitate in shelling out money.

    One legal complaint can help him a lot …Dealers in india are fraud and he should write a official email to AUDI Germany plus should talk to them on the customer care service and register a complaint ….From next time dealer will not harass the clients

    Need more details. It could just be a made-up story for views. Checked the car details, the owner is Nalin Arora and the insurance has already expired in Jan. Plus 1 month of being unwell is understood, still why can't someone just make 1 phone call related to expenses that are 3.5L

    Engine breathes air for combustion.
    When the gear changes, there are chances of water sucked in. It’s science.
    Usually, going through the water, due to the water drag, the drivers accelerates to get past, the automatic cars changes gears and that’s where the issue originates.
    It’s always said that air filter intake should be above water wade level but it’s equally important thAt the car’s silencer isn’t immersed in the water.
    Just because it’s luxurious and expensive, doesn’t mean it’s above science.
    Now Audi’s repair policy is that, every or most bolts when unbolted, it’s replaced with a new one as part of the kit. It’s standard. And ofcourse no doubt the repair costs are already high but their repair standards also add.

      Its not science, its bad design. The air intake can very well be placed higher like they increase the ground clearance for Indian roads

    people feel they know about cars !!! the problem with luxury car drivers is they know but they dont know !!!....ok advice from my side...when people drive manual cars they dont change gears while driving through water ..do luxury car drivers put their car on manual mode while doing the same ? or else car will change the gear and you will face the problem of water sucking ...!!
