This is the best version of "Shattered " there is on the planet! Nobody else can do it but The Rolling Stones! Who agrees with me? This is June of 2022.
Jagger acts like a manic squirrel in an invisible cage in this fabulous video and audio of one of my fave songs. People dressed in plastic bags directin' traffic. Can't give it away on 7th avenue, this town's in tatters.
No-one will ever, or could ever, do a cover of the Rolling Stones & sound like the unique voice of Mick Jagger.❤❤ long live the Rolling Stones !!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

Yo vi ese concierto en CD y me llamó la atención el montón de muchachas hermosas en primera fila, dude que se supieran todas las canciones, pero nunca se sabe.
Love this track and it has found its ultimate form here in the live version, as it often is with The Stones music. Ronnie has a prominent role here. He has often been criticized as not being as innovative as Brian Jones and not as technically capable as Mick Taylor. In my eyes he’s somewhere in between and therefore the perfect match for the band. History confirms his legacy... Jagger is obviously the conductor on this song also when it comes to timing the performance - a role which is usually Richards’. And what a performer Mick Jagger is... And Keith is as always hammering out one of rocks ultimate guitar riffs, closely connected to Charlie Watts’ punishing slam on the drum kit. The late, great Charlie... Rock’n Roll doesn’t get better!
The greatest mistake the Stones ever made was not doing WHATEVER IT TOOK, to keep Mick Taylor in the band. For starters, they could have PAID him. He was given no credits on SEVERAL albums---in other words, no residuals. In addition, his mates should have helped him with drug addiction and got him the help he needed to stay with the band. They did not... With all due respect to Keith Richards---on Mick Taylor's WORSE DAY, Keef couldn't hold a candle to him. Make no mistake, Keith Richards is a very good guitarist. Mick Taylor is a GREAT guitarist. A guitar genius. Right up there with Hendrix, Clapton, and Santana. No doubt about it. The five albums he produced with the Stones from '69-'74 are all classics. The band was never the same after 1974.
@@bevo1776 Kind of the same story with Brian Jones. He did get paid as one of the original band members though. But Jagger has said that they should have done more to help him. The case was that they were fed up with Jones unreliability and lack of involvement in a situation when the band was trying to renew their career after a weak album (TSMR) and with the authorities still chasing them for using drugs. In addition Jones couldn’t participate on the upcoming US tour because of a drug sentence... No one could have predicted the tragic faith of Jones after he got kicked out but, Jagger admitted that they had been acting too egocentric... And well; kind of the same story with Ronnie Wood too. In reality he wasn’t a full blown member of the band until 1992 but a session man such as Darryl Jones or Chuck Leavell. Also Woody has complained that it’s hard to get songwriter credits... I surely admire the band, no doubt the greatest rock band ever in my eyes. And they are some of the coolest stars in the business. But they are not always the nicest people, are they...?😏
@@bevo1776 You make a mistake. Of those two, Kheith is by far the best rhythm guitar player and Mick is the better solo guitar player. And don't forget the best blues solo comes from keith at sympathy for the devil. And Keith's style is how chuck berry plays only keith plays that style much better than chuck himself. You underestimate keith too much i'm sure no guitarist comes close to how keith plays.

Fort Worth, ‘78 shits on this.
Charlie Watts is playing great, considering he passed away in August of 2021.
@@francoisdubois80 They say the best drummers die young.
Too fast and the heavy, swooshie seventies phase shifter effect isn't there.
Greatest frontman of all time. Greatest band of all time. Epic performance!!!
i think this is the best of this song i've heard
Those guys sure know how to tear it up on stage ❤️
Feeling down ??? Just put on some Stones, and life is great again ..unbelievable talent and timeless )))
Agreed 100%
Mi rigenera il buonumore

Charlie Watts, Forever Loved, Forever Missed, Forever Remembered ❤❤
Blow my mind...
Greatest frontman ever.
The smile Keith gave at the end: wonderful!
Agreed ..stones have some of the coolest riffs and hooks ever put on vinyl 🤟🤟🤟
I met and talked to Mick in 1965 at a Beatles concert at Hollywood Bowl. Was amazing
Keith Richards play some of the best cords ever heard in live music.
Though it's Ron's chords on the original studio track.
Kieth overcomplicates a very simple rhythm riff imho.
Ernest- sorry- many mistakes in this song-mostly Keith's- it's like they are running through this easy song for the first time!
I agree Ernest. Bitch is my favorite.
*chords. It’s been 4 years but I don’t care
The always dynamic Stones!
This song is actually tough to do live, with all the things that have to happen in the proper order. Great performance of it here!
Armando relax their professionals.

the studio version lead-guitar break is one of the greatest moments in all of rock.........and this live performance is great , too!
Love this version. Much more energized. Feels more alive.

Hai ragione, è sicuramente molto più vivo.

How appropriate this song is now. Rolling stones are the soothsayers of our times.
RIP Charlie great drumming
When the Stones play smaller venues...,the sound and excitment levels seem to be "soooooo" much better than playing in a stadium or arena...
The Rolling Stones were made to play in small venues. People need to remember they started as a blues cover band.
Questa canzone mi dà sempre una carica vitale fortissima 😊
WOW, best band ever!!!
Grandpa's having too much fun! Good show grandpa's!

Terrific. I love 'em

To do this song live .Stones are just amazing ❤❤
At the Beacon Theatre on October 29 and November 1, 2006, but the performance footage used in the film is all from the second show.

The lyrics kick ass, period.

sure glad I got to see them in concert in the '80s at Boulder with Heart and George Thorogood!
I always knew Keith was a punk rocker! They outdid the Punks with this one! Sha do be!
Dyn Jarren what do you mean? They were always the first punks, along with the Doors and Who.

Yeah, it is so awesome done from the studio! Good one here, though!
The real moment is when Mick said the crime is going up,up,up and the crowd shouted UP,UP, UP !
