    A Beautiful, intelligent and super talented Lady! Love her story even though is quite sad. I admire her talent and zest for life; living on her terms without caring about people’s opinions. Too bad she passed away so young. But we live her life through her art! I never grow tired of her Amazing paintings! I’m planning to visit Casa Azul! Can’t wait!!! Go Frida!

    Very few must've walked in her shoes globally.
    She would say, " You don't know the half of it!"
    Gosh, this video is again bringing a lump to my throat..😭
    Frida does fit the expression " a talented and passionate spirit", an icon of sublimating pain into beautiful art works .
    Thanks for a rich variety of Frida's works and things . I learned a lot. .
    Viva Frida Kahlo!🌹
    Viva Coldplay 🌺☺
    Viva Curious Muse, hands down..🌹🌼
    Have a nice weekend, Curious Muse~

    Her house is NOT small! She grew up wealthy. Her house is located in a wealthy neighborhood and had a massive courtyard. La Casa Azul is a large house.

    Frida is one of the most important women to my personal development into a woman. I will go see her home and find as many pieces of her art to see in person before I leave this earth. I hope she is at peace now 🙏🏽🕊

    I strongly relate to Frida's life in many ways. Im half Latina as well and bisexual. My moms family is also jewish and were communist and I know she was a great admirer of both as well as a communist. My great grandma was a communist jewish painter in NYC although her style was quite different than Frida's. I believe my great grandma and her would would've been great friends!

      It is. Frida was close friends with its original singer, Chavelita Vargas. It was her favorite song. Chavela would go on to dedicate the song to Frida as well as a new song (which is also now a classic) “Paloma Negra”(black dove). Chavela was said to be in love with Frida (she also makes an appearance in the Salma Hayek movie as the elderly woman singing to her in the bar) , but when asked if she had an affair with Frida, Chavela said no because she loved Frida but Frida was too in love with Diego and she didn’t just want to be another causal fling.

  • @RiaLake

    It's only a baseless rumour the implied intimate relationship with Frida Kahlo and Paulette Goddard. More likely with Diego and that also is not a proved fact.

    • @CuriousMuse
      @CuriousMuse  Год назад +1

      Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo's relationship wasn’t a typical love story for sure.

    I just do not get the appeal of her art . It is ironic that someone like her would be pro communist , because people who do not fall in line with the societal norms do not fare well under communist regimes.
