Wow nice to meet you.. I’m happy to find your channel! I’m working as a chef in france. Glad to know experience from fellow chef on another country. Keep a good work! Greetings from france 🥰
Certificate 4 in commercial cookery is best for be a chef from australia.. or i select a 4 year trade course in William angles institute in Melbourne Bachelors in culinary management.. which one select after intermediate(12) year study... plz reply
been searching for culinary studeny na nag internship or working na abroad ever since sa YT. Finallyyyy ikaw lang po pala ang hinahanap ko chef hehe And glad na we're on the same school and same prof although 3rd yr college pa lang po me 💕
I've been working as chef in Australia for about 6 years mate and I left the industry 5 months ago and it was the best thing that I've ever done. Na burn out ako sa stress and high demand ng kitchen work and workmates ngayon nasa hospitality side na ako which is way better and pays better. I don't mean to discourage pero if your up for it do it Australia is an amazing country.
Hiiii! For me it's never too late to start for something you love and passionate about. Kaya yan, I know people who started their career sa culinary industry na late, but they suceeded. :) Thank You!
Hi Chef Kim.... will be an apprentice chef soon... still deciding kung saan sa tatlong countries na to .. France, US or Canada... More vlogs please Chef Kim...
Hiiii! I had my training in US, super okayyyy!!! I traveled to Europe as well, and gusto ko din sana mag work dun, but for now Im loving my life here in Oz :)
@@KimSolejon Di pa talaga ako naka pag decide Chef Kim... iniisip ko lang kung sa Canada mas better para tuloy tuloy na rin and can bring my family as well... I just don't know how it works in the US.. but in France you can also bring your family.. pero sabi nung kakilala ko sa Paris mas better daw Canada kung ang target is as immigrant and kung may pamilya ka masmadli raw po.. kaya yun... isip isip muna hehehe and guidance from God. ;)

hi ate kim! thanks for your videos haha Intern din ako ngyon dito sa Australia, sayang di ko naabutan ung 487 vis, greetings here in Melbourne! di ko ma enjoy mag vlog ngyon kc laging lockdown T.T
Hi, Ms. Kim. I'm a recent subscriber to your YT channel and natutuwa lang ako since I can totally relate sa mga lahat ng sinabi mo. I also graduated college in 2013 though I took up BS Biology in UST for my pre-med but after that I realized I don't want to pursue Med School anymore. So basically right after graduation I was faced with the dilemma, "shit what do I do now?" Then after eight months my father suggested to me why don't I enroll in a Culinary school since ako naman yung nagluluto sa bahay that time coz of my free time and not being accepted sa lahat ng mga Pharmaceutical companies na inapplyan ko to be a med rep (sales) since im a fresh grad and they prefer someone with experience. So ayun nga nga I was able to enroll in a Professional diploma course in Culinary and Pastry Arts in Center for Asian Culinary Studies, San Juan by Chef Gene Gonzales and also did an internship in the US for a year sa state of Maine naman ako. I actually considered enrolling sa Global Academy since mas malapit but I think CACS impressed me more during their free live tour. But luckily, the Executive Chef that I worked with during my internship really liked me and offered me a temporary H2B working Visa for the summer season. Then I was able to extend my Visa for max 3 years under US law so it really gave me the opportunity and opened up my eyes to the US culinary scenes in the states that I have worked such as Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Florida. Kaya yung sinasabi mo na double shift, 70 hours a week, Save Save Save, Hard Work, as in I can totally relate with you. Currently, I am back in the PH since 2019 because of Trump Policy that affected my Visa prematurely and then Pandemic hit. Then a few days ago, Australia Chef Migration (ACM) emailed me and invited me for a free webinar and offered me to be one of their candidates to be deployed in AUS by Jan 2022 that's why I am doing my research and watching videos and came across with your channel. Thanks to you I was able to see a glimpse what an AUS chef life is im pretty sure it has its own ups and downs but like you've said, laban lang. I just want to ask you one thing if you are familiar with Australia Chef Migration by any chance? I just wanna make sure that they are legit since they don't have a local tie-up agency here in the PH. I hope mabasa mo to and stay safe and healthy. I hope to meet you someday :)
Hello there!!! I am so sorry for the super delayed response. I am glad that I was able to give you some insights sa buhay ng Chef dito sa Oz. Nakakatuwa din yung experience mo sa US! I am pretty sure that you’re such a hard worker!!! Salamat sa kwento mo. Ang sarap basahin. Btw, we’re you able to check the eligibility of your agency? I will try to ask around if meron akong kakilala na galing sakanila. Will get back to you! Thank You!

Good day, may i ask bakit ka po nag take ng another diploma program after matapos yung degree course mo sa LPU? Hindi niyo po ba na earn sa LPU yung mga certificates needed to apply for the job? i hope you'll notice this po, im planning to enter first gourmet academy(culinary school) for a 12 month international diploma course. Then eventually they will help me apply for a job oversees( most likely in america). They said it's fine for me to take their 12month course eventhough i dont have a college degree. Thank you chef!
Hi ate, I am an incoming BSHM po and I want to take masteral after. I plan to work there in australia in the near future hope this can help.
hellooo, will try to answer kahit di ako ang tinanong hehe.
For instance, sa LPU we're under College of International Hospitality Management. Madami majors under our course. Merong majors for F. A and madami din na pang chef/hotel services, pang Front Office and Pang Cruise Line etc. Like CAKO (Culinary Arts Kitchen Operation) , HRA (Hotel Restaurant Administration, CLOCA & CLOHS (Cruise Line Operation in Culinary Arts/Hotel Services) so ayuuun depends sa school.ganiyan din me before idk if ano pinag kaiba ng HRM and CULINARY. But there's a big similarity and onting pinagkaiba lang hehe. Sana nakatulong ako kahit parang all over the place explanation ko 😅
@@KimSolejon Yay thanks Kim! Will message you here pag nasa level na ako ng internship. :)
