what causes the gear failure is when second gear was pressed on the shaft the gear jumped to far and the space between 5th and second was too narrow, the overall gear set length should measure 103mm to 103.2mm if you had measured it before removing any gears you would see the factory left it too short, they should have press second gear back a little and then repressed it until the overall gear set length was correct, everyone thinks the gears go bad from improper heat treating which is not the case here, also why is there no voice on this video, i'd like to know what milage was on it before the 5th gear set got that bad and what caused the valves to pit like that. when i replace my gears the bike was at 50,000 miles but the valves were perfect
