I purchased the the touchbone bone conduction per your recommendation. Exactly how you described them. One of my best friends is an ENT surgeon with several different shokz between his wife and him. He agreed with you about the value vs cost on the high end models. It's not worth the price for the minuscule amount of quality improvement.
I have been on the quest like you for some time now. It's a quest that I really can't afford but nonetheless I'm becoming kind of a collector of models that ALMOST check off all the boxes. Tried every type, Wireless, true wireless, neckband, headband, IEM's, in ear buds, on ear buds and on and on. Sennheiser, Bose, KZ, Jaybird, Sony, Samsung, Plantronics, Panasonic, MPow, JETech, 1More, JLab, Shure, Soundmoov, Amazon Basics, Anker, Onn, Google are most of the brands I've tried. there's more that Ive tried as well as generics but can't remember atm. Most of the brands I've had more than one model from too. After all that, I recently made the most progress in finding a perfect set for myself. Traveling out-of-state and forgot my bag of all my audio stuff in it. I do mean all of it because I was visiting family and they wanted to sample all my devices for their own experience. I was without ALL except cheap wired buds for 2 weeks. I can't use those during the day so I looked to Amazon to buy something to get me through the week. Searched Amazon warehouse for something open box and bought JLab jbuds pro for $10.50. I bought them thinking that I would be ear-raped all week but would still be slightly better than hearing all the "suicide via pencils stabbing your brain through your ears" inducing sounds of my coworkers. I'm like you and prefer the heavier bass and I was stunned with the quality of them. Granted they didn't have to do hardly anything to be better than what I expected but surprisingly they were MUCH better than I expected. 10 bucks?! Game on! I bought three more pairs just to scatter around as my backups. Practically throwaways for that price but I leave a pair in my car and on all of my desks yada yada.
So the result of that knowledge I decided there really isn't perfect pair for me and I stopped looking. I haven't stopped buying audio equipment but I stopped looking for the perfect pair and just enjoying the variety of flavors now. YMMV lol.
One thing I do hate is trying to search for wireless earbuds. Not true Wireless but the ones with the cable in between the buds. I still favor those because of the ease of taking them out and dangling them rather than having to find a case or put in my pocket. If you search for True Wireless reviews and top 10 list you'll see the clearly defined true wireless models (two individual marbles in a charge case essentially. Like in this video you did) But if you are searching for wireless earbuds that have a cable between them, what phrase do you search with? If you drop the "true" and search just "wireless earbuds" top 10 list, you still get a list of 10 pairs of different marbles in charge cases. Not even neckband works. Is there an established phrase for the style like the jlab Jbud Pros?
I do have a review request. Just saw them. The type that clip to your glasses.
"JLab JBuds Frames Wireless Open-Ear Audio for Your Glasses" edit: AND the Wyze true wireless buds.
Thanks for your time and thanks for letting me vent. 👋🏻🤘🏻

something else that I forgot to mention about the Jlab jbuds Pro I really like and have not seen before. The tips have 2 settings. Has a ridge where the tips attach so you can have the tips stick out further or be right next to the driver. Sticking out has more sound isolation and stability but even in the close setting he has removable ymear wings that stabilize but allow more sound from your surroundings. I can't believe I've never seen that before

Hands-down the best comment I've ever received! Thanks to Prime day I have about a dozen earbuds heading my way, mostly the brands you mentioned (including the Wyze buds).
As for your question on the search term, I had success with "best neckband bluetooth headset". I'll have to branch out and start covering them too.

@@mraudiofeedback thank you for the compliment and I must return the compliment because I couldn't resist using your 25 letter pun on my own kids texting this morning. One of the better/more memorable I've heard in some time. Also a highly effective gimmick because even if I'm not interested in then product you're reviewing I'm still going to watch and listen at least through to the end of the mic test results.

Another RUclipsr recommended the Spin Fit tips also. I thought about trying them out for a pair of ear buds I have, but I didn't want to guess at sizing, and I'm too lazy to pull a tip off and measure it (I hate putting them back on). I wish the company would just put out a chart. I know there's tons of ear buds on the market, but if that's their primary product....

Ear tips are a pain to put back on - agreed. A chart makes sense. Imagine how much more they would sell if they were easier to size...

@@mraudiofeedback They actually have a sort of interactive chart on their web site, but it's out of date (didn't have my buds listed). I filled out their contact form and received an email within an couple hours with which tips will fit my buds. They're supposed to be delivered tomorrow, so I'll see what the big deal is about SpinFits. :)

What is the verdict on your new tips? I've been hesitant to try these spin fit because I find that silicone tips cause tremendous booming in my ear with any kind of movement and it drowns out the sound. If I use memory foam type I don't hear any movement sounds. Are these here a silicone type that's different in that respect?

@@midvale5thyear I probably wouldn't buy them again. I don't think they really hold the ear buds in any better than the stock tips. And there's one annoyance. I can only liken it to the little spring toys with the suction cups. You push it down compressing the spring and when it loses suction it pops up. These tips do the same thing when I push them in my ear. After a few minutes they pop out a little bit, which sounds pretty loud in my ears. The other annoying thing is that each package has only one size. So, if you want to try a different size, you have to buy another package of them. As far as the booming sound you're talking about, that just depends on the buds I guess - how heavy they are, how well they fit, and if they are able to bounce around as you're running (or whatever). If sweat gets around the tips, it makes a perfect seal and any movement makes the booming sound for me. That's why I like running with my bone conduction headphones when I'm outside. But, running on the treadmill is too noisy for those. So, I keep a small towel on the treadmill and just try to wipe the sweat before it reaches my earbuds.
