  • In this tutorial, I took my client's long, brown, grown out highlights to a bronde balayage. The inspiration for this color was taken from Salt Strands Salon in San Clemente, CA.
She had grown out highlights in the front of her hair, and then almost no color in the back of her hair. In the back I did a bricklay triangle pattern teased weaves and slices. And then teasy-lights in the front of her hair. She wanted a thick money piece, so I did about 7 highlights in the the front hairline.
    COLOR FORMULA:
Highlights in the back | Goldwell Oxycur Platin Bleach & 15 volume with Olaplex added
Money Piece and Front Frame Highlights | Goldwell Oxycur Platin Bleach & 10 volume
Front Highlights | Goldwell Bleach & 20 volume
Root Shadow | Goldwell Colorance 7N/7NA Equal parts & Colorance Acid Lotion
Toner On Ends | Redken Shades EQ 10VV/10P/ with a dash of 9AA

You make things so simple. I wish I could come to your studio and be a fly on the wall. Great job

Thank you! Someday I plan to have shadowing opportunities but until then, this is kinda like being a fly on the wall! Is there anything in particular you want to learn or see?

@@thestylistbrit I have the worst time with formulating colors. I always get them wrong. That and highlighting and low lighting thin hair it never comes out well for me.

That’s good to know so I can incorporate that stuff into my upcoming videos. What happens when you highlights and lowlights on thin hair? What’s the outcome that you don’t like?

@@thestylistbrit I think my problem is with colors blending tiger stripes and not getting enough color/ bleach to saturate the hair
