Meat and animal pelts are insane money on aftermath. Pelts are like 2k each and meat 200-800 each. I always just hunt when im starting out base. That bear you killed would have been good money. You normally get 2 pelts from bear so 4k from only pelts + meat 3-4k
there's a LOT of the higher end popular servers that put fishing and hunting at a high value so people just starting out can build up some cash to get into the combat, since the combat can often discourage people who just cant find enough gear to compete. but when you can just buy some stuff after skinning a pile of deer, it's way easier to recover or to just get into it at the start.
@budman8926 some people don't have the time to grind for 8 hours just to die and loose it all, that's why the mega modded servers are popular! People that only have a few hours each day to play, can get geared quickly and get into some decent fights without the grind of vanilla servers.

One small tip Nash - Fishing is the best way of earning money. One fish fillet is worth between 1000$-1200$, depending on proportion left in fillet after you cut it. I suggest cutting fish with kitchen knife, turns out it gives most efficient fillets, money wise. Which means for example, 50 fish = 100K+ :) Good luck with your future adventures on Aftermath!

@@NashDayZ yeah I play as a solo on us1 cherno. I feel ya haha. Best way to make money is to sell to other players instead of selling to SZ. I make good money selling building supplies, tools, lock picks etc to other players. Depending on how far into wipe you could get 30k for one tub of charcoal
This might sound stupid but on aftermath u can buy a pack of pumpkin seeds for 10 bucks and a cooking pot and plant them in the safezone and u can plant them in the 2 greenhouses when they are grow u got and sell them for 60 each and u get like 3k from it each time i do it if i am a bit short of money or need stuff for a base
If you shot the bear 27 times with rubber slugs it should have died. Slugs apparently do 15 health damage, a bear has 402 health. You made the right choice by not shooting I think 😅
