Join Dean Taylor as he surveys the landscape of Christian involvement in politics. Dean takes a historical approach to expose the devastating results when Christians get involved in the political arena.
Constantinianism was not only a fourth, twelfth, or sixteenth-century problem for the church. It is still a corrupting influence in the twenty-first century. Dean will challenge you to reconsider how the Church should engage the culture today.
Recommendations of books shared during the presentation:
“The Anatomy of a Hybrid” by Leonard Verduin
“The Reformers and Their Stepchildren” by Leonard Verduin
“How Christians Made Peace with War: Early Christian Understandings of War” by John Driver
    An interactive question-and-answer period follows.

Jesus never hurt any person in the cleansing of the Temple. He overturned tables, not people.

One correction I need to make to your first session is that Republicans are not anti-immigration. I'm not a Republican, but I think you need to clarify. They are against ILLEGAL immigration for the sake of protecting citizens. Republicans are very much for legal immigration. I see no fault in that. If we spend time, money, and prayer to help those damaged by sex trafficking, then legal immigration should be a good thing.

It also seems like you have spent much time addressing those in the church that support Trump/Republicans and compare them to those in church history that supported Hitler. But I didn't hear your concern about those in the church today who are currently supporting Biden and doctrines of Marxism along with anti-family and other leftist practices. Greater balance would be appreciated. In your effort to preach non-resistance and anti-politics, you and others at Sattler frequently seem to be pushing very political ideas such as open borders, anti-war (which is God's business), pro-vaccination, and pro-stock market ideas just to name a few that I've noticed. Would love to see you guys actually live and preach JUST the kingdom. Just a caution from one observing from a distance. JD from AK
