I’m glad that you liked my idea for a BN7. Yes I agree Megaman Jr. should be renamed X.EXE. I would personally want a Starforce 4. Yes having Patch and Megaman Jr. being the main protagonists in a BN7 it would be a great way to bring back Battle Network modern audiences and a new generation. Just imagine all of the new different characters that could be introduced in a BN7 such as Dex, Yai, Chaud, Mr.Match, Shuko, and Mr. Higsby and just different characters in the new generation in BN7. Also just imagine all the new Modern PET toys and action figures that could be introduced in a BN7. Yes Cross Fusion sounds like a great idea it would show how Internet Technology is transitioning into EM Wave Technology.
@@CobraCodex I agree for example they can make a new Battle Network game where you can create your own Operator and Navi and it can be set in Patch and Megaman Jr.'s time period. It can have a brand new original story where you are a transfer student to ACDC Elementary School where you are a classmate of Patch and the new generation of netbattlers. Lan, Hub/Megaman, Mayl, Roll, Dex, Gutsman, Yai, Glide, Chaud and Protoman can still be in the story they are just more in a supportive role since this game would be about you and your Navi and the new generation of netbattlers taking charge.
Lots of good ideas here. I don’t know if I commented on the first one but I could easily see a version of BN7 where you get to build a customized navi and there is a multiplayer element. I would still like a SP story (Maybe Megaman exe is a kind of mentor navi to yours since he is famous by this point, maybe even have a 15-20 yr jump). I love the sprite overworld and general combat system but they could improve things with navi customizability and multiplayer aspects, like maybe the internet squares are multiplayer hubs where you can battle and trade with other players navis 🤷♂️
I wanted to elaborate on the 'RISK' part of my comment when that video was initially posted, but I felt it would be a big can of worms to open. What would a 'modern' BN game look like? More story, More pixel art/pixel animation, Gameplay mechanics? I feel a modernization of the series is necessary to bring it back to the highs the BN series once was. I don't feel it's necessary to do a revamped remake of the series, but a modernization could be a 'spiritual successor' or a Boruto style continuation (e.g Megaman Battle Network: Next Gen Shift). Like a spinoff with the same mechanics as before to gauge whether or not BN can really survive with 'modern' implementations. I don't mean to sound dooming, but I love Megaman RPGs and I'm thankful for the new players and attention the LC brought to the series. BN and SF have unique combat not seen anywhere and it's still fun all these years later.
Absolutely, I only brought up remakes since that seems to be how publishers like to test the waters before creating a fully new entry in a dormant series. And I think you bring up a good point on it being really hard to distinctly identify what a new Mega Man RPG could even look/play/feel like since it's been so long and could be taken in any number of directions. Right there with you on the increased appreciation for these games lately, even if we never get a new one.

There's so many potential ideas for Capcom to base a new game off of. Hopefully the relative success of the LC incentivizes them to act on those ideas

I think having multiplayer hubs makes a lot of sense, reminds me of Monster Hunter a bit
