Thank god you are in redshift
Ha, I just watched the iPhone16 Pro video and was reminded of this effect. I see you change the title accordingly :)
Thanks again for sharing 🙌
Been coming back to this tutorial often; really want to try it soon. Thanks Chris!
Very cool - thanks for sharing the technique!
Awesome work Chris, Thank you. I've seen this effect on a HUblot advertisement. Was wondering how they did it. You are here at the right time my pal. Thank you!
I had to figure it out. It was too cool not to haha Glad you enjoyed it!
Great tutorial man! so simple but so effective!
wow i was wondering how the heck they did that, cant thank you enought.
Interesting technique, never seen sss used this way.
This was sick, Chris! Thank you so much for sharing. Looks awesome!
Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed it!
OMG the coolest effect! Cheers
Thanks for figuring this out Chris! 🙌
Of course!!!
That is actually smart hahaha love it C!
absolutely amazing!
Thank you so much!!!
simple and effective, so sick!
Fantastic! Discovered this via Twitter. Subbed 🙌
Awesome, thank you!
nice tut, thanks a lot!
loving it!
Great tutorial. Btw, where did you get the movement model?
Cooool more redshift stff pls :D
Incredible, thanks for sharing. I've just subscribed.
hehehe, smart move renaming this awesome video! 😀 Wondering if whoever did this watched your video first.
So clever!
The cleverest. Thanks! haha
Awesome idea!
Thank you!
Very awesome technique! Thank you for sharing. I do wonder if it's possible to do this without the intense render times? I reduced the SSS samples substantially to 4 but seems to have no effect on render times
So good! Thank you!
what video player are you using? when you showed hublot reference in the beginning
That was my reference haha. Just some experimenting I did. But the player is DJV.
Correction, just woke up. I use quicklook to preview files by hitting spacebar. So it’s just the Quicklook player
So cool!
Glad you like it!!! Thank you!
COOL!
Great! Can you teach me how to make some hands now?
You’re the hand master. Not me 😂
Awesome
Thanks!!!
clever!
I've been trying to translate this into Octane with no luck :( How do I achieve this?
I’ll see if I can figure it out. But not sure if octane can do the clipping.
@@ChrisLambethMotion Octane has a clipping material that turns the object the material is assigned to into a Boolean. I just don't know how to get it to work like in your tutorial, since it only works when I assign it to the other object, and not the plane.
did you work it out with octane?@@ObscureHedgehog
Can this be done with arnold?
No idea. Never used Arnold. Sorry.
Any tips on how to do this for Octane?
I do not. I don't use octane unfortunately.
Hi, have you found the method of OC effect now?
we cant read anything cause ultrawide screen record :(
What are you viewing it on?
Use your ears
watch it on an ultra wide screen then you peasant
Isnt it easier just use AO?
Easier maybe. Won’t look nearly as good though
