My favorite moment is freddy helping them win the award. It shows just how IMPORTANT he is to the show
Freddie standing up to his mom when she suggested they go back to the hotel and pack up was pretty awesome.
Freddy is actually the heart of the show. If you have noone to record you cant have a show lol
Without them, they would have all the special effects and other stuff they need him for
18:03. For anyone curious.
Yuki “Yes, thank you. It’s nice to meet you.”
Kyoko “Where did you learn Japanese from?”
Is basically what they said.
As for what Spencer told the security guard at 32:44. He basically insulted his mother.
Yeah, I'd Slap Him Too
Do you know what he said at 33:33?
@@protog2663
I couldn't really make out what he said. Sorry.
お前のお母さん...?
I didn't understand the last part but it literally sounds like a "ur mom" joke
@@febrieezy2786 I think it's 出べそ (outwards belly button, used to make fun of somebody)
Fun Fact: The cast didn’t actually go to Japan therefore they had to create a set for the episode to make it seem like they were and also the actor Yuki isn’t Japanese in real life (His actor, Harry Shum Jr is actually Chinese but born in Costa Rica)😁😁😁
I bet they had to learn how to speak Japanese. Anyway, that’s cool
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 well actually according to a RUclipsr he asked a Japanese person to see how authentic their Japanese was and according to her their pronunciation was really off and some off the things they said was from a google translate version of Japanese
@@choloyolo8522 Ohhhh. Isww
@@choloyolo8522 I see
Wait. How do you fake Japanese? The whole language?
This episode was hilarious jumping out of the plane, Kyoko and Yuki but ditched them in the middle of nowhere, soap candy and getting past the security. The upside is that the ICarly gang won.
Totally. Not to mention the French poodle puppet, the chip, the painful way of learning Japanese and Carly, Sam and Freddie getting caked in mud. This episode is the best.
Oh, and the tiny cab.
That's really a great episode 😁
I almost got teary-eyed when the iCarly gang won 🤗
nothing like this could exist in 2023
I usually like to claim this as the first ever iCarly movie, because it’s an hour long. Also, it might be the best movie taking place in Japan. Yeah, you heard me Tokyo Drift.
nothing like this could exist in 2023
It’s actually 90 minutes long
@@choloyolo8522 That’s converted to an hour, genius.
@@BatmanFan76 well I saying they is that in Nickelodeon they advertised it as a 90 minute long movie…no need to be rude
@@choloyolo8522 Yeah, I understand that. I just wanted to keep my comments from being corrected. God, you sound like my mom.
(Also, this is the Internet. It’s the general place to be rude.)
Yes, Good Charlotte is a real band and the song they're performing is off their Good Morning Revival. album that's called "Where Would We Be Now." Love that album!
I love this episode a lot 👍🏼 Spencer and Freddie's mom are hilarious 😂

This is the first iCarly movie they ever did. They went to Japan, iWeb Awards was amazing, many plot twists and funniest moments
🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🎉🎉🎉🤣🤣🤣
I actually think this is one of the episodes that introduced me to the show, to the second season anyway, and it was the one where I first heard Freddie’s deeper voice! Definitely threw me by surprise 😂
I think everyone wanted to visit Japan after seeing this episode 😄 It’s always been on my bucket list for a multitude of reasons. Travelling in general is something I wanna do someday, and Japan is definitely near the very top of the list 🇯🇵 Definitely Top 3.
Also, I think Mrs. Benson deserves some more love! Yes, she’s a little crazy, but her heart is definitely in the right place. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Mrs. Benson.
you'd be surprised how much you may enjoy rewatching something after all these years
That homing chip will be really important in one of the best 2 part stories of this show later on.
I feel bad for Jennette and Miranda for what the show producer did to them
For real!! I’m halfway through the Spotify audiobook of Jennette’s book. It’s impressive how she remembered all the inner monologue, thoughts, internal conflict & not sure if her & Miranda would be friends. Her mom was so insane & didn’t want her daughter to grow up and stay a kid forever which is messed up.
The I go to japan is funny and my favorite as a kid 😅
I have heard that Japanese candy is very incredible. And it's very amazing that Carly and her friends get to go to Japan.
Oh it’s a big deal
I always loved this movie, especially the part with the Japanese security guards trying to speak English and the guard who keeps flipping signs
Exactly
11:05 “hey there, hi there, ho there!”😂
Spoiler Alert: Fat Cakes become a significant part of the show 😁😁😁
I love this one icarly goes to Japan to compete in the iweb awards!
This is probably one of my favorite episodes from the show. Loved it. I just want to go there and blow my wallet out of with the merchandise I would buy LOL
I go to Japan was my favorite episode.
I Love when Spencer speaks in Japanese, and the Japanese security guy growled at Spencer and smacked his mouth. Best part. The Japanese guy looked super cute. 😂
ICARLY IGO TO JAPAN was an awesome and hilarious show 👍
Mrs Benson in this episode is so hilarious
39:42 I ❤ how the iCarly gang were talking while it’s showing the boat in the ocean, so funny. 😂
11:24 Holy crap, that's the actor that played Bob on That 70's Show and That 90's Show.
I was just wondering yesterday how far away the “igo to Japan” reaction was.
I went to Japan in 2007 it was amazing i met one of my favorite video game composers koichi sugiyama who composed the rpg video game Dragon Quest he was one of my hero’s I went to the Pokémon center there to I’m planning on saving up money to go to Korea someday I watch this episode a lot and I love it it’s one of my favorites from icarly 😊😃
The shock collar scenes had me dying
Omg I just realized Yuki is Mike from Glee!
As a kid, I enjoyed this episode, and funny enough, this is where I wanted to go to Japan, but as I got older, I decided not to because it had Asian Giant Hornets since I had a fear of wasps.
This is making me feel better on here tonight
33:20 yep, let’s just say this and that reaction aged perfectly 😡
Something sounds fishy.... & for once, it wasn't the sushi....
Anyway, good reaction to "iGo to Japan". :)
I Go To Japan is hilarious
nothing like this could exist in 2023
Sam and Mrs. Benson are the best part of this show!
This is a movie based on iCarly, but it’s also a continuation of the show itself, but here’s the thing I wanted to point out: not every movie based on a show serves as a sequel or prequel to it at all, or even vice versa if the movie was made before the show. And when it’s like that, you would just say it’s merely based on it without being a continuation at all, like when you have a movie based on a book. Based on does not mean continue. I’m normally saying this when it comes to animation and that if an original film is hand drawn, and the show is either hand drawn within a different style, CGI, or even live action.
You wanna know how I can tell they didn’t bother even going to Japan to film on location or anything?
Because in Japan they drive on the left side of the road, but when Carly Sam and Freddie are being driven around by Kyoko and Yûki, the driving seat and wheel are still on the left side, when it should be on the right side of the car if they were driving on the left side of the road.
Love the Japan episode 💯
Finally, more Icarly!💜🩷
33:19 I guess that's the closest cameo of icarly as we're gonna get
This is making me feel cheer up on here tonight Cody
3:23 how in the world that even hurt him even though she’s outside of the door
I SAW YOUR DOG IN THE BACKGROUND IN THE INTRO!
If no Drake and Josh, how about Zoey 101? It’s really really different from the other kid coms of its day.
I remember watching this live as a kid. Great memories.
Boy. I sure could have some hibachi right now.
My first time in a foreign country was in Thailand. My mom's side is from there, so it was a spiritual trip. Amazing sights, so much culture, beach after beach, and the food is to die for
YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITING 🎉
19:17 for some reason I wanna say it's the seaweed 😂
This is my favorite one ever
Yeah, the Dan Schnider part was WAY ahead of its time
this is good, but imo a better special in japan is Shake It Up Made In Japan

I used to be subscribed to 2 people on RUclips and watch their film reviews, but they were starting to make me feel all nervous and I unsubscribed from them and decided as a replacement, to revisit iCarly and Victorious and watch episode reaction videos from you and JuliDG, and one RUclips friend of mine actually likes iCarly too.
I actually am a CREDDIE FAN
Glad to know you watched Drake & Josh.
Anyway this was a good TV movie.
One of my favorite parts of the D&J

"Is that Dan Schneider?! You were right to attack him for that one!"
You're aware that Dan Schneider is a creep huh? Jennette McCurdy (Sam) is unfortunately a victim of him and her own mother, and she was offered money to not say anything. She wrote a book a few years ago called I'm Glad my Mom Died describing her life and abuse. She left acting a few years ago.
Yea I’m aware of that. I’ve said this from the very first ICarly video
@ItsTotally Cody! oh I missed that. I just wish he was behind bars.
@@ItsTotallyCody I prefer not to mention it too
Her story is sad of what she went through I love reading and listening to her book about her mom but her relationship with Miranda cosgrove is so strong
Cody thank you so much for this reaction today! This is undoubtedly one of the best if not the best episode of iCarly! I loved all the comedy, fighting, and what I definitely loved was Freddie standing up to his mom to let her know how important the web show awards was to him, Sam, and Carly as well. The fact that his mom comes through helping them, and showing how Freddie is an essential part because he not only used his tech to expose the audience to Carly and Sam’s best comedic skills but exposed Kyoko and Yuki. I can’t wait for your next reactions.

This is one of my favorite episodes of iCarly. The only thing I disliked about it is that Freddie was not catching a break. That and Spencer’s terrible decision to depend on Socko (correct me if I’m spelling it wrong) to get them to and from Japan
iCarly, around the world
How did the towel fall off

Cody these icarly reactions are fucking awesome
Can this video make me feel like cheer up on here tonight Cody
I think the Carly gang is the best
I feel like people who make show always makes jokes like that about us french.
Carly I think has secret feelings for Freddy. I don't like their competition. Freddy needs more appreciation.
For the longest time I didn't know the guy who plays freight dog is Bob from That 70s show
15:48 As a korean viewer, Thank You! 🥰
Wow I can’t believe I never noticed how obvious the green screens for Japan were when I was younger
Hey Cody, you got to react to Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. It's *phenomenal* addition to the Shrek Universe!

Another show you should watch is kickin it from Disney XD
7:32 RUclips is not competitive at all, this isn't 2016 anymore. There's the content farms and the content creators and the content creators are getting smaller and smaller every day while the content farms, which are already too big to even compete with, are getting even bigger. When Cocomelon rakes in almost 100 million views and hundreds of thousands of dollars every day(not hyperbole look it up), I don't think anyone is going to catch up to them in the next century trying to create real, authentic content. Cocomelon looks at Mr.Beast and just laughs.
If you’re not a RUclipsr then you don’t understand how competitive it is between content creators in the same niche
@@ItsTotallyCody No I don't. You're a reaction channel, I totally do not understand how competitive sitting down and watching a video can get. On a whole, I don't know if you're a full time RUclipsr or not, but you'll suffer the same fate as BlastphamousHD, once one of the greatest RUclipsrs on the site imo, either way, it's an inevitability. Sorry, but it's how it goes for reaction channels. I'm still here.
@@thisisutubnottwitterwhyhandles literally the amount of work it takes to focus on the movie or tv show you’re watching, then editing, then posting is a lot of time and effort. And yes RUclips is my full time job because 1. I’m very good at what I do, and 2. I built this channel to the point where I make plenty of money that I don’t need a “real” job. Reactions channels are competitive because you never know if someone is gonna be reacting to the same thing you are on the same day or week. There’s more involved that im sure you don’t comprehend and I don’t have time to get into all that. And no, my channel won’t just disappear one day and it’s not inevitable 😂. But you probs should post content on your own channel since you haven’t posted in 3 months and the last video said “why I’m not coming back to RUclips.” Don’t give up on yourself! And have a great night
@@ItsTotallyCody Yeah if I actually cared about RUclips I bet I could do pretty well because I know how the algorithm works I've been on here so long, but in general, reaction channels have a lifespan. I didn't say "disappear", but what I meant by "inevitable" is that your demographic is so specific at present that it cannot possibly be sustainable. This can all change with time, which is why I said "on a whole", and "fair use" reactions are pretty new so I don't have a lot of data to go off of.
It's easy to be like, "editing takes a lot of time, you don't understand", yes I do, I used to have hundreds of videos across three channels(which one was deleted, and the other straight up disappeared and I, to this day, have no clue why) but I never had the money to get payware editing software, so I used RUclips editor and holy shit, ezvid, and I'm not talking about the new RUclips editor, I'm talking about the OG 2013 editor(it was such a piece of shit but I thought it was the coolest thing ever), and I'd spend, hours on videos, literal hours, but back then editing meant basically nothing compared to now where every video is hyperedited in order to overstimulate the developing minds of children, so whatever, point is I know, and I was like 10 at the time, 5th grade.
25:17
2:25-2:28 really?, because at lunch in 11th grade, my friend (who's half french) told me that parisians are very rude and smoke all the time. also, a year ago when i went to nice, this taxi driver that drove me, my sister, my mom, and my aunt to the hotel said that the people around nice seem less stressed out than parisians
The plural of 'possum' is 'possums,' not 'possi'.
plural words ending with 'I' is usually used for singular words such as 'us'.

As much as I loved this special as a kid, as an adult it's quite easy to see the use of Orientalism and Japanese stereotypes as being super blatant and absurd. (Tokyo is for some reason in the middle of nowhere????)
Additionally, some of the Japanese Kyoko and Yuki say during the episode have weird choices, including an implication at one of them being adopted, and use of a certain term that is very very much like a slur.
