I love that because WE are the canvas he isn't directly talking to us, he's talking to where a camera would be like on a show. Its a little thing but it really makes it more "realistic" in a way. Amazing video as always Fred!

Dude this is SO good! The mannerisms, the accent, the sound layering - the amount of work that went into this, both on-camera and off, is immense and appreciable. I was also oddly pleased at the bit about the studio not liking Bob going over his time! Small details that really pull everything together.

Exactly...I remember him being on sunday afternoons, during my youth and falling a sleep to the sound of his voice during his painting, only to wake up near the end going "How... What did I miss...Holy hell, how did he do that?" Always groaning in protest when his time was up, going ah 5 more minutes.

For me, it’s all about the knife sound. The studio wrapped gaff tape around the knife to prevent it from reflecting a glare into the camera. This also dampened the knife’s resonance so it lost that metallic ping sound. The pallet also needs paint on it to dampen its resonance, and create a nice full plastic thocc when the knife hits it. I’d love to see Fred do another Bob Ross canvas video, but with actual paint on the “canvas”. Cheers mate!

Bob Ross was how I discovered the sense that was ASMR... this was fantastic. Hardly a West Virginian but I’d give Fred a bear hug for all the relaxation he’s given me.
