I just received mine today. I’m speechless. This knife is equal or better than any Chris Reeve. It has its own personality compared to Chris Reeve, But it’s one of the highest end knives made. It was made in the Taichung, Taiwan. They make the best knives in the world in my humble opinion. Golden Colorado could never come close to this. I’m happy !!!

I carry this knife 90% of the time in my pocket with the clip removed. I prefer my knives without clips. I bought it as an upgrade to my CKRT Pilar; yes it’s the most expensive knife I own but it’s the one I carry/use most often. I agree with the view that it feels bigger than it’s size suggests. Enjoyed the review!

No one has been able to define it perfectly. All of the Spyderco Slysz collaborations transcend the sum of their parts. Does not do them any justice at all judging them by their specifications, get any one of them in hand and you’ll see the light. The Bowie, Spydiechef and Techno’s are phenomenal knives, in that order. Great job Spyderco, especially with these gems from the Taichung location.

Taichung quality is excellent. Almost perfect in my eyes

You helped me finally decide to pick this bad boy up! I have no way of handling most knives I want ahead of time. You seriously take the time to detailedly describe how the experience of having it in hand is to the fullest. I was skeptical bc I’m a huge fan of Spyderco’s full flat, or even a hollow, so I didn’t know if this would work edc for me. But after your review I think it’s it. I can’t wait, I should have it in a few days and thanks for your review. I’m about a year into being a knife junkie and I’m obviously still looking for that perfect fit for me.

Love the green standoffs - that’s what convinced me to buy one & quality - also think the blue back spacer was terrible 😂😂😂

Just got a techno 2 today and this knife is exceptional! I wasn't sure what I'd think. Don't usually prefer smaller knives but upon handling it's perfect. Will be great for edc and quality is so friggin nice. I'm just surprised they're not way more popular. Great review MC!!!

Agree on the finish. I call it “cloud” finish. I’ve tried to replicate it on other knives by stone washing and polishing the shit out of it..... there is more too it than that 😂. I love mine. Historically don’t like small knives unless it’s a traditional. But took the clip off and I carry it all the time. Better that way with a little lanyard 👍

I went to pick up a Spyderco Watu and this was sitting right next to it in the case. Ended up looking at it but not buying it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and went back a week later and bought it.

$210 in 2019. Now, in 2022, it is $265. That's nearly a 25-percent price jump. I hope y'all got yours back before the pandemic.

Metal Complex owning a lot of drop point and suddenly is intrigue in sheepsfoot blade. (Smirking) I guess I can relate.

I like the review. It is a good looker small and the fact I can buy the black freek for same price it is going to be pushed down the list. Keep the info coming it is important for everyone to have.

Honestly I can’t tell the difference between a thick blade and a thin blade if both have a very sharp edge.
My Spyderco TUFF, nilakka, yojimbo-2, ZT 0561, Cold Steel ultimate hunter etc slice through paper as effortlessly and silently as my Spyderco pm-2s, Viper odino, Benchmade 550 grip, Kershaw cryptic-2 etc that are known to be “slicey”.
It really just doesn’t matter as long as they’re all sharp.
Even grind style , edge angle and blade width just don’t seem to matter….in paper.
If you want to judge a knifes slicey-ness, cut an apple.

How did you get a scale with your channel logo? I just bought the techno 2. Hadn’t arrived yet but disappointed people have trouble spidey flicking it. I was hoping it’d be easy. Oh well. Still a nice knife

appreciate the review, but you spent WAY too much time giving opinion and just kinda lip service instead of actually reviewing the knife. video could have been half the length, maybe even less, if you had cut all that stuff out
