Ceramic artist here. Self-funding hobby is a great way to go until you're ready for extra tax prep and spending less time on your current artwork that pays the bills. Don't be afraid to increase your prices for illustrated ceramic pieces. They are typically in higher demand and will sell at higher prices than more traditional work. Additionally, don't short yourself in your studio calculations. Transportation, food, hygiene, etc, are often forgotten during pricing. Your pieces are super fun and cute! i love making ceramics, but yeah def an expensive form of art. i love the colour changes you can get with the glazes, sometimes its a big surprise even with an example on the pot of glaze

A fun thing you can do with lil sculptural objects is put a little line/or slit in the middle to hold a photo or polaroid! I love making those.

You might have considered this already….. but you could try slip casting moulds for some of your more complex pieces. I know it takes the fun out of really hand making each individual piece but it could save you some time at lease…. Love your art btw😊

not sure how serious you are about color accuracy but can't recommend a screen calibrator enough! there are some really affordable and user friendly ones out there, esp since so many things like room lighting can affect it..sorry if u know this already tho lol

Lol I am so happy for her. Funny thing was that I was just wondering if I should change my iPhone 11 because I knew Megan still uses the iPhone 11. Weird but I feel like my journey is similar to Megan journey. Okay so I changed my phone all the same and I laughed when she said I can’t believe this is my lifestyle now. It made me so happy because I remember when she was still living with her sis in New York and I was stuck in my very tiny Uni room, thousand of miles far from everyone I know back home. It’s been a journey. Also I got the Apple Watch as birthday gift and then randomly saw that you have the same. I know I sound crazy but it’s really all random. I didn’t plan it. 😅
