Could always make a granny square or two once you are done with a project using the left over yarn. Eventually you would have an afghan worth of squares. Maybe by the end of the year.
I loved this idea. I took your idea [& my son's dice] to create 42 squares. I only used 10 cool tones and 10 warm tones. I am putting them together as lap blanket to donate to Camp Boggy Creek. I love the scallop border idea. I am planning to use the dice to decide other projects😊 BRILLIANT IDEA
Not me totally chanting, “scallop border scallop border” 👀😬. Whew! 😅 lol What a BEAUTIFUL set of squares! I love them ALLLL and your bag is beautiful. Well done!!! Thank you for sharing with us. Happiest new year! ☺️🧡✨ xx
Your bag came out so awsome . I'll be constructing my blanket soon still deciding what colour to join with. And I'll have 60 squares to join. But it'll be worth it for next winter. Thanks again for the best idea . 😊
This series makes me want to try and do a granny square a day for the year and make a crazy blanket 😅 forget temperature blankets - I want to use up my stash! 😂
Bag is awesome, Michelle! Your idea of putting the black broadcloth in between the inner lining and the granny squares was inspired…! Also love that you added the scalloped border. It makes the bag look really “finished”. This was a very fun series, and I appreciate your time and energy to put it all together! Happy New Year to you and your family! 🥰
the day 22 square with the pink, light blue and dark blue reminds me of Eleven when she wears the pink dress and blue jacket! i love how the bag turned out 😊
Girl, when it comes to sewing, I feel you on the running out of bobbin thread. I made a quilt for my in-laws and ran out of bobbin thread too many times that I lost count. So, I went and bought extra bobbins and filled them all up just in case I needed them.
love how the final bag turned out! the double lining is brilliant. also loved seeing everyone’s squares and projects! thanks for sharing ❤ i couldn’t participate unfortunately but if you do “events” like this more than once a year, i’m sure more people can send in their projects too :D i’m currently waiting on some variegated yarn to arrive to do a blanket of granny squares. your video definitely inspired me
The bag looks great! I have some squares that I crocheted together to make a pillow but seeing your bag changed my mind. Thanks for sharing how to do the inside of the bag, I had no clue how to do that. Happy New Year!

The bag turned out so nice. The scalloped border was the right call. My favorite square was day 24.
