- Hidden in Canada's Great Bear Rain Forest, wanders a rare white coloured bear. Despite the colour of its fur, the white bear is not a polar bear! In fact this mammal is called the Kermode Bear and is a subspecies of the American black bear. One of the rarest bears on the planet, only 100-500 fully white bears exist. Known as the Spirit Bear, these beautiful creatures have been at the heart of oral stories of the indigenous peoples of the area. They believe the bear symbolizes the forest's spirit and so they call it the Spirit Bear!

Very informative and interesting. Thank you for the beautiful scenery and education for us all. Thank you Angelica Sigl. Peace.
I LOVE this documentary; thank you! My family and I live on Vancouver Island and we are British Columbians that love to hike and camp and explore! We are grateful every day to live in such a wild and beautiful rain forest. We have seen many black bears pass through our land. When the Salmon run we spend a lot of time on the estuary 10 minutes from our place; the Bald eagles, Sea Lions and bears are thrilling to watch. My daughter went to the Great Bear Rain Forest; she is employed with the Ministry of Environment and has the First Nations portfolio so she works with our First Nations people. She saw a Spirit Bear; a very special moment for her!!! I'm going to tell her to watch this. I subscribed. ❤
It sounds magical and I love how grateful you are. Our planet is amazing. How do you feel about Sasquatch? Do you watch Hammerson Peterson Podcast? He is from Canada and tells the
best stories! I’m from Michigan and have lived by both bridges going to Canada in my life. One going to Windsor and now the one going to Sarnia..Blue water bridge. It is so pretty! Enjoy🌎☀️💙
@@missshroom5512 Hi, Sasquatch, well I have never seen hide nor hair of one. I used to work forestry and I've been all over the Kootenay Selkirk mountains. I'm from Nelson. Lots of camping in the Rockies. Now 13 years on the Island. One night while camping I heard a screech, but it was a mountain lion. You would like Vancouver Island, we have lots of mushrooms. It is magical. My husband and I have been across Canada a couple of times to I'm familiar with Ontario, hot and humid. I will check out Hammerson Peterson Podcast, thanks! Take Care!
******LIAR ALERT****** 🚨 🚨 🚨
@@missshroom5512I feel passionate about Sasquatch only because we mated and they mate for life
I honestly love all the colors, blond like spirit, black mysterious like forest of the night, brown connected to trees, yet I was surprised of the different behavior of the white bear, as they avoid fights and seems to be more wanting to be at peace, wisdom and spirit, I liked the moment how destiny gave a fish as a gift and support for the white bear when it avoided the fight and gave way for the black one.
Imagine the folklore that bear could tell; stories, beliefs, and myths.
I really enjoyed this documentary. The spirit bear is beautiful.
Very good video.Thanks.❤

You have a better chance of seeing a Kermode bear just east of Terrace or north by Kalum lake. They are not that uncommon.
Hi, why there isn't any documentaries about parrots and birds life, people love those creatures those days... Thanks
Do not destroy their land development is not allowed. 2024 The land of animals humans who are kind are only allowed.
Dang scientist don't put a collar on the bear .
Rather than "last" ice age whe should maybe call it the "latest" as the cycle continues in spite of our industrial botchup...
Can i have one of these on the wall?
Do not cut old growth forests in BC!
i love you
#stormi song with #nikirawfood journey the baby bear Salmon swim for miles and miles to go back to where they were born to spawn and die..
Up here in Northern Ontario Canada we have the white moose, which they call the spirit moose now.
Nature can be so unkind and some nice to be in poisonous cold warm it all depends on where you are animal likewise so be careful the one venture out alone 😔 nature can change at anytime 😢
God's creation is just amazing in all the various forms and environments! For over 2k years we have been called to Him, Christ The Lord! This will continue until He returns in every generation!
they are called Spirit Bears not ghosts.
Quite saying that ! The rhinos are almost extinct !!!!
20 years ago in Terrace BC if you went to the dump, they were all over the dump site up to 20 at times.
Very interesting. But I've heard that polar bears are mating with grizleybears. Are these white bears a descendant. Related somehow. I hope someone can answer this. It be cool to investigate.
The answer is no ! The white spirit Bear is/are black bears and don't go that far North to interact with polar bears.
@@chrispaden3052 okay, thank you for answering me
I didn't know that, thanks

@GWG-ib9cvWhy do polar bears hate black bears? Is it bcuz they’re too small & is not compatible when it comes to mating? Bcuz other apex predators on this planet don’t like another predator whether it’s the same species ya kno? Just another mouth & competition.
that bear woul d make a beautiful rug.
True Canadians love our spirit bears. Sadly, the blaring, moronic, pseudo-music background makes this virtually unwatchable.
You are obviously not educated on indigenous life
as an ethical hunter,, we don't do shiz to endanger such rare animals,, of all types..
