When Vice City was released It was so amazing, The graphics the gameplay and the atmosphere. I mean it still is an amazing game. But at the date of release i'd say it was one of the best games ever made. I felt the same about Gta San andreas but in overall it feels like games arent as great as they used to be. The improvement over every year back then was far larger than the improvement of games the past 10 years. Most didnt have internet we had to buy a copy and we had to sit and play trough and restart things over and over again it took so much time there wasnt a fast way to learn the games by looking at tutorials and take share of what others found online. We had to explore and talk to our friends over every new amazing find in the games. I miss thoose times. The world felt alot slower back then not so fast and stressfull as today where you encounter something hard you quit after 1-2 retries and play another game because it's booring we didnt do that back then we could sit for hours grinding something over and over again until we succeeded and could move on. It was so mindblowing for us who grew up from let say snes and before til playstation 2, gamecube, xbox. It probably made a huge impact on all of our lifes that will stay with us forever. The past 10 years it's been moore about graphic and fast money than actual story and gameplay is how I feel. I just don't know I never have the same magic in games the past 10-15 years and not the same joy and adventurous spirit. Maybe I'm just growing old?

When everything is 3/10 then your brain simply lowers expectations and you're fine with everything requiring lots of imagination to be anywhere close to what it's supposed to be. But when cars are 10/10, but buildings are 4/10, then your brain constantly notices the fact that buildings look horrible. It's the same as that stable 30FPS is better that constantly fluctuating between 40 and 60.
@@kurczaczak It's the lighting. The lighting is extremely terrible. I don't know how using GTA5 you can't have awesome skyboxes and day/night cycles, but they've somehow managed it. The sky looks brilliant, and the whole damn game looks like it's lit with this boring, flat, monotone lighting that even the original game did immensely better. Seriously. Change the lighting to act more like actual GTA5 and I expect this would have a 2000% improvement instantly.
So in like 30 seconds I put a color filter on this and it helped a lot. It can't fix everything: They also need to fix the skybox lighting and get rid of this bizarre hyper-bright, flat lighting. But I think you can already see a difference: i.imgur.com/oDZJCyL.png and i.imgur.com/xw5GUhV.png - I'm talking like a reduction of Saturation by almost 40%.
Exactly the problem with every of those mods, feels like there is no atmosphere, it's flat. I always thought that to have a good looking game, you need to have a good lighting. Light is everything for me. That's why to me A Plague Tale or Kingdom Come are some of my favorite.
Why is everybody being so salty? I literally haven’t seen one positive comment about the modded remake. You are all talking down to the modded remake for not much of a reason, in which I find pretty obnoxious and strange. You might stick to the original and love it so much, but that necessarily doesn’t mean that you have to trash out the modded remake.

The remastered version is just a thing of beauty. It feels like you are really in the setting of the game. 👌🏼 Thereʼs something special about the old one, though. The vibe and its classic visual presentation just brings you right to your childhood. 👏🏼

@@fynkozari9271 I mentioned Horizon Zero Dawn to show that by 2017 we had graphics far better than this version of gta vice city. This GTA seems to have the graphics of a 2011 game, but the ilumination and some textures are better, so that's why it looks a remastered version of a 2011 game.
Painschi Nicolae obviously its not the official remastered gta vice city. Its just a imported map of vice city into gta v which is why it has the same lightning as gta v. This is the closest we’re gonna get to a remaster of vice city so might aswell call it that even though its just a map import.
