Geoff Castalucci is, hands down, my favorite bass singer. I love Avi, and I love Tim Foust, but Geoff just has butter for vocal chords...
Just discovered this guy a few days ago (believe it or not) and he has replaced Tim as my favorite Bass singer..
I believe I can love all three.
I do not have to choose one over the other.
Geoff is with another a Capella group named Voiceplay. Their stuff tends to be a bit more theatrical then Pentatonix and Home Free. He goes even lower in the Oogie Boogie song by Voiceplay.
Yes Geoff is singing all the parts. He layered the video and the other vocals in. This is an old mining song.
Wait I think I have heard and reacted to voice play! Wow didn’t know he was in it. Thanks for commenting 💛
@@YourGirlDeee you reacted to Oogie boogie song, but i don't think you liked it.
@@YourGirlDeee oh and please, react to his solo work of ''Take me Home, Contry Roads''!
@@YourGirlDeee it’s WAY lower than Avi
Hi dee if you really want to hear this man’s range listen to his version of the Beatles black bird your jaw will hit the floor he has a 5 octave range you will not be disappointed guaranteed!!! Lots of ❤️ coming from Philadelphia 😘
Great suggestion! Blackbird is a masterpiece!
Honestly, his Country Roads cover would probably be the next best thing for you to see
Edit: Scratch that, Misty Mountains cover just came out
Beware, Misty Mountains sits at G1 for DAYS...
Watch headless horseman by him.
He does all the parts in it also.
His cover of blackbird or high and dry shows his range well aswell, maybe more than this cover
Geoff is amazing! You need to check out the group he is with voice play! They are incredible, and put on one hell of a show. Keep being amazing girl, love you!
Damn Straight!
Dee, thank you so much for the shoutout. I'm still speechless. After such a tough week mentally this has made my week!! I'm so grateful for yr content and passion. Much love to you Dee!!
Geoff Castellucci is truly something to awe at. Charming and with his incredible voice, he’s golden. This song is called 16 tons originally by Tennessee Ernie Ford in the 1950’s about the struggles of being a coal miner. Hope this helps!😁
YOU MUST USE HEADPHONES OR GOOD EARBUDS TO FULLY APPRECIATE GEOFF CASTELLUCCI AND VOICEPLAY!!!
3:17 . He has a very similar range to Tim . I believe Tim hits 1 note lower and Geoff hits 1 note higher .(Tim and Geoff are good friends and Tim features in Geoff's accapella groups music from time to time )
I think Geoff's chest range is slightly more extensive but Tim's growls gives him the lower overall range
This song is about mining, yes, but it's also about how the mining companies used to have onsite housing for their "employees", pay them in company backed script, and then charge them for absolutely everything through their " company store". They would also "provide" meals for the workers and their families which, though they could refuse to eat them would be charged for them as though they had, they then turned around and charged quite heavily for. That is what the line " I owe my soul to the company store " is all about in the song.
Geoff is the bass for Voice Play.@mother great Acapello group. I would suggest The bones or Bang fromthem
Hi Iris, I didn't know that you sub to Dee! Isn't she awesome?! I started following her before QoFy. I love her passion, energy and spirit.
Good catch. A lot of people don't realize that he is doing all the parts. They think it's 4 different people.
His Bass is considered a Basso Profundo, a bass singer with an exceptionally low range. And yes it does hit that “sweet spot!”
Bass Baritone with Basso Profundo range technically. Usually no Bass can go as high in chest voice. Not even the famous Ivan Rebroff. They use head voice for that. Geoff does both. And transition of two octaves so fluently is also pretty rare. Ironically Geoff himself during school wished to be a tenor!
He gets lower in his boogie boogie cover or his misty mountain cover.
Headless horseman as well, black bird, high and dry.
Geoff Castellucci, Tim Foust, Avi Kaplan, and Matt Sallee are the four horsemen of hot young basses!
Always best to listen to these a cappella with headphones.
Geoff is a baritone bass. Tim Foust is a basso profundo & Avi is bass.
The song is about a strong miner.
You reacted to his group voice play last year. He was the main singer in Ogie boogie song. You didn’t seem super impressed lol
Fr I remember that
She didn't even heard the last note lol, that reaction was actually terrible
Love the reactions, but I beg of you.... you have to listen to anything with Geoff with headphones to fully appreciate the depth of his voice!
I KNOW I have seen people ask you to react to VoicePlay before. Geoff's YT channel is full of cool stuff but along with the rest f VoicePlay, they are UNSTOPPABLE. ANYTHING on their channel is worth reacting to, seriously! Luv ya!
As a bass singer myself I'm glad to see you appreciate bass singers as most people overlook us.
MISTY MOUNTAINS IS A MUST
IM SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT! Also react to Austin Brown’s original song “Earn It” it’s really good!
You got to go back down the pentatonix rabbit hole! Their song, Amazing Grace, Mitch shows his beautiful mid range. You will get chills!!!!!!!!
Geoff has a 5 octave vocal range that's incredibly controlled! His personal channel and Voiceplay are among my favorite RUclips channels!
Hes lower than Avi. He drops down into sub harmonics in most of his songs, with him often hes going as low as an E1, though his cover of misty mountains cold he may drop a bit lower in a few parts.
Geoff Castellucci is the lead singer of Voice Play and this is a cover of the 1955 original by Tennessee Ernie Ford. This is a song about coal mining and the pay was given as goods and staples at the company store thus you owed them your soul till the day you died. Need toreact to Avi and the lead singer of Home Free singing Johnny Cash song Ring of Fire.....amazing ! Love your videos Dee....been watching you since Disturbed’s Sound of Silence....your reactions give me joy and laughter and just keep it up !!!! 🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
Dee, If you really want to hear the music, use headphones. Its soo different!!!
I love your reactions, from the first one I saw when you reacted to Sounds of Silence. Reactions like this are what keep me coming back. It's fun watching you react to what I know is coming next. You do not disappoint. CHEERS!
GEOFF is froa group called VOICEPLAY(A Capella) VOICEPLAY - KISS by Prince
I recommend the bass battle video with Tim, Avi, and Geoff. The levels of bass in that video is SUBTERRANEAN
You've actually already reacted to Geoff and his group "Voiceplay" it was The Oogie Boogie song and you were like "meh.." the video is even entitled (Not impressed Voiceplay) seeing you get hyped in this video made me relieved, seriously 😆
Allison karause Jacob's dream will bring you to tears
My jaw hit the floor I first time I heard Geoff too. 😉😏
Geoff, Avi, and Tim are all amazing, but technically Geoff has the largest range AND has the lowest recorded note of the three. He is an alien.
Basso Profundo. He can roll with the best. Hits subharmonics at will with ease... like just breathing with no effort. And HEY HEY Love! Glad to see ja posting. I know the recording, editing, etc takes a chunk of time... you always brighten the day. Peace!
I've missed your content. I hope all is well and you create more reactions soon. Much love. ❤️
What you just heard is called a Basso Profundo, a low bass singer! Geoff is insanely talented!
Dee! I would love to see your reaction to Voiceplay, "My Mother Told Me" which also features some great work by Geoff.
I thought everyone knew this song but not everyone grew up in eastern Kentucky!!
Geoff is said Jeff
You loved it and you weren’t even wearing headphones.
Wow! Fantastic version of that song!! Dee you are so awesome and make my day with every video. 😊🌹🌹🌹
my god girl "the Misty Mountains" with tim foust and peter holands you wont be disapointed
Let's not ignore his cover of Misty Mountains.
Need headphones to listen to this. Not silly earbuds but real good headphones.
I swear, I wanna buy this lovely lady a decent set of headphones or ear buds...😂😂😂
journey "when you love a woman" that song will blow your mind.
Oh hun you havent heard annything jet he can go even deeper ;) wonderfull reaction ^^
Check out Geoff's version of Black Bird. It is just amazing and Emotional 😇🥰
First……you’re beautiful 2:I love your energy 3:you are great, love your reactions! I suffer with some mental heath issues and for sure you lift me me up!,,❤️❤️❤️🤗
Love your reactions. So full of energy. This is an old favorite song of mine. 16 Tons is a song by Tennessee Ernie Ford in 1955. For me, the original will always be my favorite. But it is nice to see the music is still relevant, being it is being covered with these great new talented people. Another old favorite similar to this is Big Bad John, by Jimmy Dean in 1961. Went to number 1. They even did a movie based on the story in the song in 1990. Don't let the age of the song fool you. I highly recommend giving both originals a listen.
You really should use headphones😊
Dee you need too do his Misty Mountain !Awesome!!!
Someone call a plumber...I think a basement just got flooded...
Hey Dee, check out Geoff Castellucci singing "Over Misty Mountains Cold" from the Hobbit. Again, he sings all four parts and goes deep into subwoofer mode !!!
You should give Jeff Beck and Billy Gibbons Sixteens Tons a look, you'll be blown AWAY!!!!!
A thousand people have probably already said it already but it's pronounced "Jeff". His name is likely Geoffrey and some people elect to spell it with the G. If you have seen this comment already please disregard. Excellent reaction. Check out VoicePlay's "Oogie Boogie" song if you haven't. He truly bottoms out in that one.
I always love watching your reactions to the acapella groups Dee :) Geoff recently released his version of "far over the misty mountains" from the Lord of the rings and he absolutely friggin killed it :) If you love harmonies, then you will love this! Do the things Deeeeeeee!!!
❤️ Freaking love you!
Definitely watch "Oogie Boogie's Song". That video shows his range too. Good Post.
GEOFF is short for GEOFFREY, which is the original Old English spelling of JEFFREY.
Therefore, Mr Castellucci’s name is pronounced JEFF.
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
I'm waiting for a proposal video by someone who just brings out Geoff to drop a low note and then wait for a yes😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure "Pretty fly for a white guy" is simply a prediction of Geoff Castelucci taking over youtube😂
So I guess you'll be checking out Voiceplay now ;)
Yes all parts
Hey Dee, please react to Tom Macdonald.....”Fake Woke”! You won’t be disappointed!!! The first reaction I saw you do was to Disturbed’s Sound of Silence and I was hooked your reactions are so refreshing and make me laugh. A fan from Virginia, USA!!!
Sound of silence, same here!
We wouldn't be able to handle four of him, we can barely handle one of him as is XD
@2:47 lmao 🤣
Dee, if you like harmony, try VOICEPLAY "butter" by BTS. Geoff is part of the group. new subscriber from Martinique
You're reactions are gold. But if u wanna lose ur ish try Tomi P's rendition of Hellfire from the hunchback of Notradam
Does a good job of big john
You need to put it in stereo and turn up the volume please!!!!
You should hear the original version By Tennessee Ernie Ford much better but then again I’ve been listening to country bluegrass and folk music all my life!
If you haven't listened to this already, you need to react to Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust.
I legit live for your reactions.
Please do more of Castellucci (ifyouknowwhatImean). The guy and the acapella group he's in are ah-mah-zing!
I agree with the suggestions already made, but I would suggest something different. If you like harmony, try VoicePlay's video of True Colors. Layne's arrangement has some of the most beautiful harmonies I've ever heard.
Have a look at Puddles the Clown. Rocks everything he does.
Geoff (Jeff)
Imagine listening music from laptop speakers in 2021
Please can you react to voiceplay
I know you don t like oogie boogie cover but I think it s not the great song for first video reaction.
I recommand you voiceplay tenessee whiskey
Loved your reaction. Geoff Castellucci is fabulous. Check out his “Blackbird” and “House of the Rising Sun.”
Welcome to the Castalucci rabbit hole. On the way, you must check out the a capella group for which he is the bass (voiceplay). I would start with the Oogie boogie's song, and then just run from the. You can't go wrong with them!
eemmmmna mmnnna mmnnna emmmna is the best breakdown react. I am sooo angry I don't have his octives, or his his tank, or hair. or yeah well P!ss... not a fair fight. Some women, like Dee are too damned gorgeous that the 8.8B of the rest of us have no play... and some men, like Geoff,.... yeah... welll... immmmma go now. side door. ... all my BS said.. the video was stellar.
Check out his cover of BLACKBIRD....you'll love it!! For me it's: Geoff Castillucci, Avi "ButterBass" Kaplan (?) and Tim Faust..
Please check out Misty Mountain cold by Geoff Castellucci 😎
Geoff Castellucci, Misty Mountains Cold cover
Oh Geoff (solo and Voiceolay) and Tim Foust (HF) are on another level when it comes to low bass, Avi doesnt even compare.
He’s probably got the nicest voice though.
You definitely have to react to his Far over the Misty Mountains Cold cover as well!!
I just discovered Voiceplay doing the song Just Sing. I believe you will like it a lot.
geoff & voiceplay rabbithole?
Diggin Tha pineapple shirt sugar. Your awesomeness
Research the original song 16 tons by Tennessee Ernie Ford
All chest voice . Please reaction blackbird Geoff castelluci .
So you weren't impressed with Geoff in oogie boogie with voiceplay, but now you're impressed with him? Seems that you don't really listen or pay attention cuz his vocal range is just as impressive in oogie boogie
You haven't heard anything yet do Geoff Headless horseman and he is bass for voice play another Accapella group and Geoff gives you bass like you never heard start off with hoist the colors you will love it
Oh honey, you gotta react to oogie boogie!
Try to see Headless horseman also by him.
You MUST react to geoffs headless horseman
Hello baby, welcome to geoff/voiceplay... if you think this is beyond human ranges... you are right. Hey! love you dear ♥Oh my dear you were not ready, but i love your vibe!! Check these guys out VOICEPLAY, but Geoff is amazing...
